Higauin ~ 13 goals 5 assists in 1997 minutes. 1 goal every 153 minutes. 1 assist every 400 minutes.

Morata ~ 7 goals 4 assists in 986 minutes. 1 goal every 141 minutes. 1 assist every 246 minutes.

Yeah, Morata is there now. Especially over the past 6-8 weeks. Higauin doesn't defend, isn't strong outside the box, doesn't create his own chances, is a mediocre passer. He's a finisher. Morata does more. He creates chances for himself and others, he is an underrated passer, he can shoot from outside the box, he's good defensively, and has immense work rate, and so on.

Its easier to score with Juve than with Napoli. Even I could score 20 goals per season in Serie A if I am supported by Pirlo, Vidal, Pogba, Tevez and Marchisio. Even if Morata keeps his very good stats up for 5 consecutive years then I will consider him nothing but average crap. He scored 1 goal in 6 CL games for us and the same for madrid. This is your argument. No yours is actually more ridiculous.

Do you ever stop and listen to yourself? You are completely ignoring 5 years of Higuains life at a bigger club in a better league where he has had very good stats, played an instrumental role in atleast a league title and was competing with players we can only dream to have in our team. The very same players that ironically Morata failed to get time in their presence. When Higuain was 22 years old he scored 27 goals in 32 appearances for Real Madrid in La Liga and scored 2 goals in 7 apps in CL.

And by the way, Higuain with Napoli last season scored against the proper Dortmund, Arsenal and Marseilles. He has 4 goals and 2 assists in 5 games in the group of death. Not just a goal against a Dortmund that was fighting relegation. This year in Europa, he has 6 goals and 1 assist in 5 games. I could also bring in Tevez's miserable stats in both Europa and CL to further emphasize Higuain's effectiveness.

Morata has been very good for us but he is not at Higuain's level yet. Give him time to prove himself. If he scores a few more goals I imagine you'll be saying he is as good as Messi

lol. Quag scored plenty of goals in EL as well, but that doesn't mean anything. Current top scorer is Alan from Salzburg, never heard of him tbh. CL is the ultimate test for strikers and Higuain has been abysmal in that regard. Let me repeat it for you 9 goals in his 7 years with Real and you consider this guy as a good striker. Pretty low standards you've got there. Morata's one CL goal scored this year bears more significance than any of Higuain's. When the stakes are high this guy chokes.

First off, it is not an easy feat to score 30 goals with Ronaldo and Di Maria behind and it is not easy to start ahead of a world class player like Benzema. Morata himself played in a better Madrid and barely got to start and during those starts wasnt as impressive as Higuain used to be.

As for Benzema he isn't a WC, if he was less lazy he might become one, but Real chose to keep him in the end instead of Higuain, right?

Morata was impressive when he was given minutes, showed that he possesses the right set of attributes that might take him to achieve something extraordinary. In any case do you think our board would have decided to spend 20m on a player (first time in the last several years) based on his underwhelming performances?

Quite clearly Morata at this stage of his career is superior player to Argentinian, if we consider goal/minute ratio there can't be any discussion regarding this.

I admit I was a big Immobile fan and I wasn't happy with him being sold to Dortmund but the moment we were after Morata (instead of Immobile) Beppe got my blessing. Morata always struck me as a very promising player with more potential and ability than Immobile.

The only bad thing about Morata's transfer if the shitty buyback clause. Hopefully the kid refuses to go back if they come calling.

I wonder what Real fans you been talking to, because the one's here say the Higuain was always a limited striker and that Benz offers more to the table with his link up play with CR7 and Bale. More so than Higuain.

He had the same quality of service like Benzema has now. It's real Madrid we're talking about and every summer new quality players arrive. The fact is when it comes to CL games he flopped hard for Real, while Benzema made decent impact during the time that both had been playing together.

Higauin isnt, you dont care about stats, while ignoring Benzema is a better more well rounded player, scores more in bigger stages in CL (10th best CL scorer is just stats now???), and most of the goals was when Higauin was there, and they had the same service. In fact right now and past couple of seasons Benzema scores 30 goals a season, but spends most of his time doing the ungrateful work of laying it off and creating plays for the true "strikers" of Real, Ronaldo and Bale. He is not someone who sits idly by waiting for service, he is basically a role player used to make things smoother and easier build up for the wing forwards.


That said, Benzema is having a poor season, but still a better player then Gonzalo.
