On his way to become as good as Higuain? lol. That guy was always a mediocre crap, and before Hist starts posting awesome stats of his time with Real, even I'd managed to score 30 goals with Ronaldo and Di Maria behind, spoon feeding me in defenseless league. In terms of finishing, providing for himself or his mates he's been nothing short of failure. His quality was best seen in CL games, particularly knock out stages, where he single handedly eliminated Real on few occasions with finishing more resembling an amateur level player. Llorentree does nothing AT ALL for his entire performance (if you can call it that)...one or two touches into his sub, Morata scores a marvelous goal.

Let's hope Morata does for us for a long time what Llorente used to do in Spain.

First off, it is not an easy feat to score 30 goals with Ronaldo and Di Maria behind and it is not easy to start ahead of a world class player like Benzema. Morata himself played in a better Madrid and barely got to start and during those starts wasnt as impressive as Higuain used to be.


Second, his stats at Napoli are very good too.. that means nothing to you? The guy just scored a hattrick in the Europa-league for Gods sake.
Morata is definitely not yet at the level of Higuain. Knee-jerk at its finest.

Yeah. A hat trick at home against Dinamo. Real impressive. Context, mate. If he'd done against one of the big teams left in Europa, impressive. But Dinamo.

I'd take Morata's goal and assist against Dortmund in the CL Rof16 over Higauin's Europa hat trick against a minnow team, 99 times out of 100. And so should everyone.

Higauin ~ 13 goals 5 assists in 1997 minutes. 1 goal every 153 minutes. 1 assist every 400 minutes.

Morata ~ 7 goals 4 assists in 986 minutes. 1 goal every 141 minutes. 1 assist every 246 minutes.

Yeah, Morata is there now. Especially over the past 6-8 weeks. Higauin doesn't defend, isn't strong outside the box, doesn't create his own chances, is a mediocre passer. He's a finisher. Morata does more. He creates chances for himself and others, he is an underrated passer, he can shoot from outside the box, he's good defensively, and has immense work rate, and so on.
