Morata :touched:

Wonder what Logrente would have done in his place. Stumble over the ball, slow the play down a bit and pass it sort of close to Pereyra is my guess.

they all do in the beginning. check back in 12 months and he'll be like Llorente

Doubt it though, Llorente in the beginning was almost as bad as he is now. Even worse at finding team mates.

Excellent goal.

Definitely deserves to start at the moment. But he definitely has lots to learn, some of his decision making was bad e.g. when to run, when pass, when to shoot.

Given how few chances we are creating, I'm glad to have a guy up front who seems to be able to create something for himself.

i knew that some one will say that.. but seriously were was our fuckin' attack players the guy was literally running on his own on the counter. and there was no support. very terrible performance from our team today.

This guy can't be compared to Llorente, theres a different level in quality. Even when Llorente was on 'good' goalscoring form, the most he would offer was shielding the ball, a few good layoff passes and a couple of Amauriesque headers.

Morata offers a lot more..if said it a few times now, he reminds me of Liverpool's Torres, he's fast, good at dribbling, great shot, good touches on the ball and helps out in attack.

The guy has tonnes of potential. For me it should be Tevez Morata by default

Llorente was a 30 goal per season striker at Bilbao. They ruined him when they benched him for a season. Last year he was on incredible form in the second half of the season. Your observation about his game applies to all giant target men except ibrahimovic. Toni for instance was an insanely good striker that either poached or headed the ball or held it then passed it.

Llorente needs to find his form.

Llorente scored 18 in 43; 23 in 51; 19 in 41; 29 in 53... in all competitions, in the 4 seasons prior to his benching. He never was a 30 goal scorer. He scored 18 in 45 for us last year. He's a 20-25 goals (in all comps) type forward when he's in best form. Which, considering he turns 30 in February, should be right now...

Still, I like Llorente, but...

Morata has the potential to be that, plus add much more to our attacking play. Morata has the potential to be an actual 30 goal forward.
