But unlike the rest of the forum, I actually watched this player before he arrived and actually can formulate an opinion without him even playing for Juventus. You know why? Because Juventus isn't the end all, be all of football. Gee imagine that, there are other football clubs out there!
Juventus fans.
His displays at the 2013 U21 European Championships were very impressive. For Real Madrid it's been somewhat difficult to get a sense of just how good he is, because of the nature of the attack there, with everything going through CR7, and last season, Gareth Bale as well, and the CF almost playing a supporting role. However, from watching him there, his best attribute is poise and control in the box imo. He seems to have good ball control in tight spaces and the ability to create space for shooting in the box, and remains calm and in control where quite a number of young players get flustered and lose technique and vision in that circumstance.
What do you think from watching him previously? What does he need to improve on here, from his time at Madrid?

His speed surprised me to an extent. I like.
His straight-line speed isn't so surprising as tall people frequently have this, it's more so his burst speed and agility. He accelerates and cuts like a much smaller player, which is quite impressive. His ball control/dribbling in tight spaces is also very good. It will be a very nice change of pace from how clumsy Llorente is with the ball at his feet, and also will be one of the reasons it will be possible to play the two of them together up front.
