If he plays like that (5 minutes, yeah) always then he's some big $#@!ing talent.

Still, I feel like throwing up when I remember buy-back clause.
Without the buyback he would probably still be at Madrid though, unless we wanted to pay 35M ourselves.

I'm happy people are starting to realize he's not just "depth".

I didn't realize anything. I won't judge anyone based on a 5 minutes display.

But yeah, bas on that he seems good.

Not talking about you. But lots of people on this forum shrugged this signing off as a waste because he was just depth. Even in 5 minutes you can see his potential is enormous. Whether he gets there is another thing.

Llorente has been a bit frustrating. I'd start Llorente this weekend but if we aren't seeing much give Morata the nod with at least 35 mins

Llorente is Llorente. He may be frustrating when he doesn't score, but he is working awfully hard for the team and ... he does score very regularly. At the same time Morata is really showing a lot of promise.

True. It's going to be interesting if Morata can start squeezing more PT how they perform and who ends up trumping who.

i think the plan is to have Llorente, who is in his prime, as a "starter" the next two seasons with more playing time for Morata as time passes. then in 2 years, when the buy back clause expires, we will have himready to be a regular starter with Llorente starting to decline and (eventualy) get sold

I still don't know much about Morata, but from what I've seen I think it is possible they may play together at times especially in a formation with 4 defenders.

We're looking to make €15m on Morata whenever Rm wants him back so even if we fall in love with him we'll make a decent amount of money on his sale. By then we'll have other options. Coman, Berardi, Gabbiadini maybe - only time can tell. But let Morata be good enough first.. RM only want the very best so he'll have to score 20+ goals a season at least..

I have this eerie feeling that this guy will bench llorente...and in some way im not liking it because i really like nando, but Morata seems to have innate technique with the ball at his feet, something that llorente sorely lacks...and in this uninspried 352 of us... someone like morata and tevez are unvaluable.

Im eager to see what he can do when given more minutes.
