Yesterday was definitely not his day... was the main weak link during the first half but even so our game was fluid and on the right track, everything went downhill for us once he got outshined by Szczesny in the second half, nobody could have matched that but certainly no point denying that Morata also had one of those moody days where he doesn't add anything good and just stands in the way of others.

Anyway, in his case i'm sure he will eventually bounce back with a couple of goals in the next few games tho, afterall it was just the first game of the season and consistency has never been one of his main strengths, just needs to keep a clear head and focus only on his game.

He is still clutch and will come useful.
He is and will continue to be for sure, however right now there’s even more pressure on him to deliver goals and add some additional consistency to his game, which i hope he will live up to and eventually at least partially fill in the gap of CR7’s departure in terms of presence in the box and being an worthwhile aerial threat for us in there.

He's always seemed a little fragile mentally and doesn't seem to handle criticism well.

That along with the death threats to his family and probably feeling he hasn't gotten the recognition he deserves for what he's achieved so far in his career is probably affecting him too.

Likeable guy and clutch on his day so hopefully he still has some fire in his belly as he seems the type that retire from football early to concentrate on his family or something.

A little is a huge understatement.
