He didn't have too many chances to be fair. Keeper made a couple of good saves on him which he couldn't have done much more on.

Frustrating thing is that he made numerous runs to get open (particularly in the first half) and nobody played the ball. Even his offside goal, Arthur takes too long to play that pass.
well said. it's annoying how we never take advantage of those runs. only time you see us play long balls is to cuadrado

The bad angle chance in tight, he made a perfect control and the only finish he could, keeper just had come out and made himself big and made a super nice save. That was great from Morata, just even greater from the keeper.

The header was a decent one, and with some luck and mediocre keeping he might have scored it, but he should have done far better and put it out of reach, there was plenty of net to aim at.

The pullback chance he fluffed from just outside the top of the box, he should have got more power on that shot, but he isn’t really a sniper from outside the box, and that’s at best a 1-in-3 type finish for any striker. Anyways, his attempt was particularly poor though.

His control and finish on the pass from Arthur was absolutely sublime, but just offside. he called for it, started to make his run, even tried to hold up with a stutter step, but Arthur took too long to initiate that pass. And it was the only ball of that sort attempted even though he was constantly making such runs.

He also put in a very nice cross for Mckennie, who got nothing on the free header and nodded it straight to the keeper.

All the same, his header and Ronaldo’s header both should have been buried and they both deserve criticism for failing to do so.

I really don’t think he was that bad
He wasn't imo. Its a pity he didn't score in such a crucial game but he wasn't shit.

If Arthur initiates his pass a moment earlier he’s the hero of the night with one of the nicest goals of the season. Unfortunately wasn’t meant to be.

He had two poor finishes, the header which he definitely should have scored, and the wide open shot from just outside the box which he should have at least tested the keeper with.

Can’t really blame him though. The 3 goals we scored should have easily been enough. We failed to progress because our defensive organization and concentration is complete ass this year. It’s embarrassing.

I like Locatelli in the couple matches I’ve seen, but I really don’t have much idea of how good he is?

I don't know if anyone has pointed out the elephant in the room

Morata and CR7 don't work well together. They are a dysfunctional partnership.

They both prefer to drift to the left, neither is particularly comfortable on the right.
Both were shit, but usually they work good together.

I feel morata does better whenever Ronaldo is not there

Age or Ronaldo not working together is never the issue. But I wouldnt blame the club if they are secong guessing signing him for that agreed figure.

He is the player he allways been, he scores in big games, good in CL, is involved in action, sets up goals, very easy to like etc. But is not a high volume consistent scorer or overall impact of a top CF. He currently has 7 league goals and we are in middle of March, thats less then Mattia Destro.

If we are moving on from Ronaldo next year, the last thing we should so is give the keys to our attack to Morata.See him as complimentary piece, anything more then that and we will be in trouble/dissapointed.
