"Hello everyone and thank you for coming. It is very nice to be here again after a journey that has made me better. We left in 2, we come back in 5. I have grown as a person and as a player. I'm very happy.

You know what the market is like. The important thing is to be here. I haven't had a good time in my career. I'm in the right place at the right time. I have more experience and I know how to not relive the moments negative. It's the opportunity of my life.

I have great affection for Pirlo. I predicted he would become coach of Juve. I am already surprised by two training sessions on team management.

I'm also ready to play the center forward, otherwise I wouldn't have come. There are many solutions in attack, I have to work for the team, my teammates know me and know that I want to help them and do what the coach asks me to do. I want to win.
As a striker I would like to score 30/40 goals, but many who do these numbers don't win anything. I may have scored 15, but I won a lot with the team. If I looked at these numbers, I would play tennis.

I always said my dream was to play for Atletico Madrid, I achieved it. When I got here they bet on me, I was young and I always dreamed of coming back. I know what I have to do and I am happy.

Underrated? No, if there would be no criticism it wouldn't be nice. When I was younger, criticism could affect me, now not. I have a clear idea of what to do.

I have many good memories here. The trophies won with Juventus are unforgettable.

I know Ronaldo very well. I always had a very good relationship with him, he always gave me advice, he was happy that I was back.

It's easy to say now what I did wrong or what I could have done better. When I left it wasn't up to me. At Chelsea I started well, then I had an injury and things didn't go right. I went back to Spain because it was a child's dream.

Like every year Juventus is one of the strongest teams in the world. They all have it in mind. It's been a few years since we got close to the Champions League; one of these years it will arrive (yes I hope this year). The club works for this.

The Serie A has become perhaps the best league in the world for the players who are there and for the level of the teams. When a team wins many years in a row it is difficult to repeat itself but people believe it has little value."

I actually do not understand the obsession of some with Moise Kean. The kid has scored like only 4 goals in over a year for club and country combined. He's nowhere near Juve quality even as bench warmer.
I kinda see both sides of the Kean argument. You’re right in that he hasn’t produced, but on the other hand he’s still a young homegrown guy who has had flashes with Juve. He’s completely overvalued though, so I wouldn’t want him back if it was an obligation. And even if it was an option, I’m not sure Vrioni couldn’t be just as “good”

really? i think he was transparent in what he said. Nothing wrong with it.

He has been trhu a journey after he left here. Im sure he is way more mature now.

He has played for Juve, Real, Atletico, Chelsea, Spain NT and won many titles. This is how he thinks of his career? Even though he has come under a lot of criticism you'd hope he'd realise what a fortunate career he's had. Seems like the type to focus on all that's going wrong for him. No surprise there.

In the rest of it he talks about how he let criticism and injuries get to him. Again, we all knew about that. Hopefully it's behind him, but it doesn't sound like it.

Don’t worry bud, he will be rejuvenated before you even know it. ;)

it depends on how you interpret it. I think i got what he said. Yes he had been fortunate in that regard, but i feel that in his personal regard he feels he has unfulfilled potential.
let me explain

A man like Danilo has been super successfull in his career trophywise... but in personal level no one cares about danilo Lol. Rubinho Won gazzilion scudetti with us, but on personal level no one remembers him.

Morata has won a lot while scoring acceptable numbers in top teams... but the perception of him is in summary "unfulfilled potential" after he left Juve. IN fact, he had this issue before coming here because he was very young but not getting chances in madrid. Thats why he came here in first place. Here he cemented his position as our striker and was building a name for him. Something he was looking for in madrid but obvs was not going to get at his age vs prime ronaldo and benzema.

After he left here (juve)... his career has stumbled with many obstacles. Yes he won a CL with MAdrid and helped them, but he was not teh main man, again, in that run, like he was with our CL final run for example. In Chelsea, his overall score with them was negative, people never liked him there and he was being innacurate most of the time.

In atletico, it seems he didnt enjoyed his game because was always benched for the coach favourite costa, and the athletico defensive gameplan didnt worked for him.

If you take all of this into account, thats why he said that he feels he could have done more in his career...and he doesnt said what im going to say... but for sure he wanted to say "My career would have been better if i never left Juventus", but that was going to be not ok with his previous fans and teams.

I think people are so quick to judge Morata because he is clearly an emotional guy. The thing that people are failing to realize is how he keeps emphasising how hes happy to be back and he feels at home here. If that's how he feels it will translate, there's a reason Morata didn't thrive in certain environments. It's normal just with other players.

I know this will sound bias, but i think morata always lamented having to part ways with us. I think this influenced negatively in his career. He not only had a great proffesional career with us, but he was starting a life with his future wife here. All of that got taken away in a flash without him wanting it.

As a proffesional, he should have turned the page... but like you say, he seem to be an emotional-enviroment kind of guy....and he was not able to turn the juve page IMO.

I know that he tried to come back many times but his market price was just absurd so juve was never going to buy him back. That shows you he never let go that thought of coming back someday. Its understandable IMO. In italy he has everything on proffesional and personal level.

He's happy to be back, and that's what counts!

I see a man that feels sorry for himself.

Maybe it'll work out here, sure. But just saying.

Yeah , during the press conference I felt like he was very emotional, and I almost got emotional because you can see how happy he is to be back and I love that because we need players like that in this team. Something we've missed from a lot of these players

And that’s why we should be doing everything we can to keep Dybala here and happy, and not force him out like Tootsie has been trying the last couple summers. Another young, high character player, and a top class star as well. @Bianconero81

He was open and honest. Perhaps a little too open and honest, but at the same time it’s a little bit refreshing to here him speak honestly about this stuff. I took from it (at least in part) self-criticism and Alvaro acknowledging that he has let outside influence (criticism and external pressures) and uncontrollable things like transfers and injuries get to him over his career and he feels he hasn’t accomplished individually what he expects of himself.

Hopefully he can use that as motivation to succeed here. Time will tell.

yeh this is exactly how i interpreted it. And is good because it means he still has the will to improve and to fulfill things in his career.

It is unusual for footballers to be this honest about not having a good time in their careers as most of them focus on not hurting their "brand". For me, it shows unfulfilled ambitions. I have no problem with that attitude for a 27 year old as it could mean he's hungry for more success.

I find it funny when they mention how he was part of the team that beat us in Cardiff when he only came on at the 89th minute.. Yeah he was very impactful against us..

Anyway I always liked him and it is nice to see him here again

he uses words that "Coming back is the chance of a lifetime", and that his best memory from his Juventus spell was "meeting his wife" and then the trophies.

I have been stressing a lot in this days how important his personal life here could have influenced him, and his wife comment reiterates it. He loves turin and the club enviroment.

With Pirlo and his teammates i have no doubts he will be in the right enviroment to replicate his past spell, and even improve on it with more personal achievemtns like more goals.
