I'd like him + Cavani/Benzema/Dzeko (can't think of another top CF that would be available)
Well, that's another story, just that as you said aswell, an unlikely one atm. :p

but considering he's gonna be on 7M wages probably, I don't see it happening. Maybe him + a tier 2 targetman for rotation
That's precisely why i do think we should keep hold of Pipita right now, rather keep Higuain + Morata than a Morata + mediocre back-up for ST.

I guess eventually time will tell what's really the plan here, but to me Morata and Higuain are two very different players atm, both offer something that the other doesn't.

Morata could return to Juventus on loan, with a buy-option for a total of €60-80m. Juventus must sell Gonzalo to sign the Spanish striker. Sarri wants the Pipita at Chelsea. (Corriere Torino)

That would suck. I only want Morata if its 1 time payment 60mil euros or less or max of 20+45mil euros in 1/2 years. Think 80 is too high

Marotta: “Morata? We are pleased that those who have left keep a great memory of Juve & show they want to savor the Juventus climate. However it’s just simply a rumors & I want to deny it because we have great players in the attack.”

He'll come only if someone from our attack is sold

Yeah that’s pretty much it. Will only come if Mandzukic is sold which doesn’t seem likely. So our attack will remain the same as last season, only with the addition of a returning Pjaca.

Marotta: 'Morata return is utopian’
By Football Italia staff

Juventus general manager Giuseppe Marotta refutes rumours Alvaro Morata could return - “we already have a great attack of international calibre”.

The Chelsea striker was seen talking with his agent and Bianconeri sporting director Fabio Paratici yesterday, immediately sparking talk he could come back to Turin.

“Now we are in the most important phase of the transfer market, so as always, every day, they link Juventus with many players,” Marotta told reporters at the launch of a new book about Juve.

“That also applies to the Morata affair which is on the agenda today. The fact is that the most important players of this Agnelli cycle who have gone away all carry with them a great memory of Juventus, and almost all of them want to savour the Juventus climate.

“Beyond that though these are simply rumours. I want to deny them, we don’t want to deceive anyone.

“We already have a great attack of international calibre, so it’s an area where we don’t have to make any bets. Therefore, at this point, any operation seems totally utopian”.

Could that situation change if Mario Mandzukic leaves?

No. The principle for Juventus is always that if a player asks to leave then, of course, we’ll try to satisfy him, at the point when motivation has dropped or there are other considerations.

At the moment no-one is in that position,
 so I have to say that Mario Mandzukic will be a Juventus player next year too.

“Gonzalo Higuain? No, no player is for sale. Higuain is in his second season season with us, he did very well and we’re very happy with him.

“If we were to receive offers we wouldn’t consider them.

“That applies even more so to Douglas Costa, because among other things you know he was on loan this past season.

“We have an option to sign him outright. He’s a Bayern player today, but we’ll definitely sign him outright between now and June 30, so he’ll definitely stay with us next season.”

So according to Beppe the pic that we seen was more or less just a spontaneous encounter? He sure knows how to create confusion with this interviews...

Thats too poor a deal for Chelsea. They're known to sell high. I certainly see us overpaying for this deal should it happen.
Their "flop" sales:

De Bruyne €22m
Cuadrado €25m
Salah €20m
Lukaku €35m
Schürrle €32m
Filipe Luis €16m

Maybe €45m. They signed him for €66m.

Pretty sure we paid €30M for Cuadrado in total including loan fees.

I certainly don't see them selling for as low as €40-45M. Morata is their club record signing afterall. It'd be closer to 60 IMO should he leave.

Looking at that list I can understand they sold pretty much everyone on there. Lukaku and De Bruyne in particular were very poor for Chelsea and especially with De Bruyne no one could know he was going to improve that much.

But Salah.. I just don't get that. I think he did okay at Chelsea tbh.
