I think you are all making Morata better player than he really is. At Real he has the same problems he had with us. He is great when coming off the bench, but comepletly sucks when you give him more responsibility and start him. There must be reason why Allegri preffered Mandzu and Llorente to him and why Zidane prefers Benzema now.
He is great for counter attacks which we could see in CL for us but other than that he is still not that great with hold the ball and playing with his back to the goal. I would never trade Higgy for him. The mins per goal ratio says nothing when you are playing for Real who is used to trash their rivals until last minute. Anyone counted how many of this are decisive goals rather than 3:0, 4:0 etc?

And to be clear I think he is great player, just that u cant compare him to the likes of Higuain. He is not worth more than 50m.
Alvaro is still much younger than all the players you mentioned and there is a very big chance he's gonna improve a lot. Mandzukic has been a top striker for years now so there are very few players who could bench him. As for Llorente, he was competing with 22yo Morata who just came to another country. Also, Llorente game was more for setting up Carlitos and our b2b midfielders. Benzema plays because he has a very good understanding with Cristiano.
Obviously Morata is not better than Higuain but he can cover his and Mandzu spot and eventually replace one or another. He's also a Juventino.

I'm not saying he's worth the rumored price. It's crazy imo.

But look at this. Bernardeschi is apparently worth 50mln. Morata did prove a lot more than that guy.
Talents always cost more than proven but seasoned strikers. You are investing in future and resale value. Higuain transfer, in my book, was daylight robbery. Imagine somebody paid 90mil for Aguero at this point? impossible thought. And he is one year younger, more marketable.

scored 33+6 this season
I can see he scored 20 in BPL. Where the remaining 13 come from? I doubt he scored 10 in UCL. Anyway, what are you trying to prove? Aguero is a player which cannot be relied upon, that's a fact. Higuain is never injured. Plus, since you mentioned marketing aspec, buying Gonzalo from Napoli created a huge buzz.

That 90mil for Higuain was a massive ripoff from the selling party, far more than Pogba to ManU
