Morata just said he would have never forgiven himself if he didn't return to Real Madrid.

Remember when we seriously thought Morata would turn them down all by himself and stay?

Meh, it's his childhood club in his hometown, he is Spanish, he is starting, and it's one of the most prestigious clubs in the world. I do not fault him.

Pogba's move is a bit more of a headscratcher.

This is completely understandable. And he never forced his return either, I'm sure h'd happily stay at Juventus.

Pogba left for the money, it's also understandable. I mean, it's a 3/4M a year difference - it's a shitload of money. And he has all the right to be tired of winning the same league over and over again and going to the most competitive in the world.

Vidal was the one who hurt me. First because I'm so fucking sure Marotta could and should have hold onto him (coff Matuidi coff coff). It was an option to let him go (and for a very low price for the kind of player he is). But mainly with Vidal, who is probably be making around the same amount of money he'd making at Juve. He left because he didnt believe Juventus could win in Europe (and also that he couldnt highen the level of the team for that). That was sad.

And about Morata, Im a huge fan. I think hell be the best CF of the world in a few years. And in all honesty, I might prefer him to Higuain, regardless of values. I like his style more, and the potential is just huge.

Morata is great, and I still wish he was with us, but he needs to show a lot (and I mean a lot) more in terms of ruthlessness and confidence in front of goals before he gets anywhere near Higuain's level. Higuain was a lot better than him at the same age. I don't care about the style too much, strikers jobs first and foremost is to score goals, and Alvaro (for now) just isn't prolific enough.

I love this guy tons. But best CF in the world? :howler:

He scored 12 goals last year in all comps. 47 appearances. 15 goals in 46 appearances the year before. He's light years away from being a top 5 CF, let alone the best. He's turning 24 in October. When's he going to make this quantum leap to "best"? When he's 30?

With all due love and respect to Morata, he completely fucked our CL campaign last season (Yeah, I remember he took us to the final a year earlier).

Morata probably has more goals than Higuain at CL lol.

The guy is absolutely decisive.

And he offers much more than goals. He's more complete than Higuain.

When he's 26 or 27. And his game is more than goals and you know it. He assists a lot, creates offense, not only finishes. He played a lot as a left winger. Can create counters.

Also, he generally scores in decisive matches, as he's shown, he's probably scored more than Higuain at CL lol.

Twist it whatever way you want to, Higuain is still a much better striker at this moment in time. We are much more of a threat with him as our starting CF than we are with Morata. Simple as that.

This CL record of Higuain is so exaggerated almost much like Tevez.

I mean, guy has played like 1 CL season with Napoli and managed to score 4 goals in the groups in the group of death.

Morata hasn't scored more than 10-12 goals in his entire career. Honestly he's nowhere near the Argentinian.
