Easy to say a Juve player should celebrate when it's a Juve fan saying it.

Did you not see what I posted? He grew up in Madrid and Real Madrid gave him a shot, gave him crazy riches and his fucking dream life. It's not like they signed him 2 seasons ago, told him he'd start and then benched him indefinitely.

And before anybody says it I know he came through Atleti, but Madrid took him to the big leagues.

If he was serious about wanting a long term career at Juve and not thinking about moving back to madrid I wouldn't give a shit and still celebrate, it is the Semi finals of the CL, playing as a protagonist and not some bit piece that madrid treated him like. These moments don't come round every year, maybe once in a life time for some relish the moment. Sometimes players are too sentimental for no reason
You have to keep in mind though that he still has to go back to Madrid and face them, and the fans. The last thing I'm sure that he would want to do is give the Madrid media anything else to make a meal of, and to give his as of now former teammates any more inspiration.

Don't knock the kid for being classy and thinking ahead.

Not sure how much the Santiago B. holds but I doubt he wants the entire stadium booing every time he touches the ball.

BUT...if he scores there...then gloves off. :D

:agree:

Plus, I'd think a Juve player who left here, celebrating against us, was poor form and not very classy.

This kid showed a ton of class but keeping calm in that moment. I like him even more for it.

Plus that immense showing. His hold-up play, touch on the ball, passing, defensive work rate, winning that header from the Real Madrid corner... He was amazing.

3 goals - 1 assist in his first 5 CL knockout games. 22 years old.

Serious question, would you want Marchisio, if we sold him, to celebrate a goal against us?

Instead of chastizing him for this for some weird reason, you should applaude him for giving the basic respect and courtesy to the club that brought him up as a kid and which he loves.

Off ball movement was flawless. Holding the ball up flawless. Work rate was incredible. Calm finish and didn't even break a smile.
It's crazy to see him perform so well today, on such a big stage, after being so noticeably absent the past few weeks.

I have a feeling he's pretty fatigued from this season. By far the most minutes he's ever played in a season. I'd guess that's why Allegri has only started him in 1 Serie A match in the last 8 rounds. Allow him to reduce some of that fatigue as even if we don't have a lot of quality behind him and Tevez in attack we definitely have the numbers to rest this guy.

It really showed today, as he looked much more energetic than I've seen from him in the last month.

This. I'd be quite upset to watch it.

In hindsight, it's hilarious how a good portion of posters were tearing their hair out when we sold Immobile to raise funds for Morata. Tevez probably took him to Fuerte Apache at some point during the season and made him drink its water, because he's grown some massive balls since earning Allegri's trust.

Solid showing by Morata! Loved it that he was holding his ground well vs Ramos who tried to push him around. And his pressing was superb as well, overall he's been GREAT for us today.

Not me! I was pretty early onto the "Immobile overrated" bandwagon, and the I love Morata bandwagon too for that matter!

I think most people's biggest problem was and is the buyback clause. Understandable... but even if we only have this guy for 2-3 years, 'tis better than 10 years of Immobile :D

The more I see him play, the more confident I am to say that Marotta got a gem. Outstanding player. He seems to thrive in big games. He is tough, he can run and he can play.

Absolutely vital during this Euro run.

I really hope he stays for the long run. There's no CF prospect in the world right now better than him. Actually, how many CFs around are better than him today? Who had a better season than him? He may actually be one of the top 5 CFs right now, considering the position is kind of becoming a rare breed in today's football.

Looking back at the last couple of games, he was like a new player last night.

I mentioned it earlier, but he's looked really fatigued the last 4-6 weeks in Serie A, and against Monaco. This is his first season of top flight football playing significant minutes. I mean he's played over 2000' now, as opposed to 973' for Madrid last year. He had that amazing run through January-early March and Dortmund 2nd leg, but since then he's looked burnt out and unfit.

Allegri has only started him in 1 of the last 8 Serie A matches, he's come on as a sub in 5 of them, just to keep him game-ready, but I really think Allegri has been trying to allow him to recover from this fatigue, by hardly using him in Serie A. And it showed today. He was the player from the Dortmund matches again. Looked like he had boundless energy.
