That goes without saying. Morata will soon become a world class striker, if no grave injuries befall him. His potential was never doubtful and with Juve he's fulfiling it. Been a while since I liked a player that much.
Would you trade Morata for Costa though? I certainly wouldn't. He's got higher ceiling and more aspect to his game. Costa is 4 years older and when he was of Morata's age the former was plying his trade for mediocre Spanish sides like Vallecano or Valladolid, scoring less than 10 goals in close to 40 apps per season. Morata is more technical, better with the ball at his feet, quicker, his passing is very good, off the ball movement, etc... He can make things happen on his own, create an opportunity for himself or his team mates and doesn't depend on others to do all the work for him.
The problem is, the more he scores for Spain, the more his profile and name grows there. I just hope the boy wants to stay with us for many years. We have a potential world class player on our hands. We need to keep him.
We are safe.Real Madrid is not buying attacking players for less than 50M. The only realistic scenario is that Real are gonna buy him for depth but Morata wouldnt want to warm the bench imo.
Morata is showing that he could easily develop into 50+ mil rated striker. If he keeps developing at this rate, he'll be in that Cavani price range by summer 2016.
He'll be our Morata replacement when Madrid takes him back after next season. It was our plan all along. We make a profit on Morata, and we bring back Immobile for less than half what we sold him for.
