My apologies if the above is meant as some kind of joke...but if not...its ridiculous. Messi is the most talented forward player on the planet. That poncy twat ronaldo is close to him, but let down by his face and general ponciness, and then there is Rooney. I think any team playing against Rooney, Ronaldo, or Messi, has to be incredibly focused on their marking. As for any team double marking efficiently, they only have a chance of scoring goals if the rest of the team is flimsy and can be cut through like butter on a swift counter attack. Perhaps the best purely offensive player in the final third we have seen since Maradona. Jojo is virtually molded for the position we're looking to fill up. Hard working, creative, good at receiving the ball with his back to the goal, knows the language and league and good at finishing.

@Hustini: Similar situations, but different level of opportunities. Barzagli was not being considered as a starter at the time we were purchasing him, but a replacement for the outgoing Legrotagglie. It's another matter that he turned out to be the player he is right now.

Sanchez is being considered as the mercato prime signing, so there are a few more considerations that must be made at this time, especially since a large part of this/next season's budget will be put toward his purchase. Not against this signing at all, but if we have 30m to spend, then I think we should push the envelope and go for Suarez who will simply take us to a level we have not seen at Juventus since Del Piero's prime.

I don't get the JoJo hype in all honesty. Good player, got skill, but nowhere near what he's made out to be. At least hasn't proven it yet, either due to injury or form. I think Sanchez would do just as well, considering he'd cost about 10m less and is about a couple of years older but that could be co sidered negligible coz he too is still under 25-26 years of age.
