Such a pussified management, that we even need to discuss this, and talk about which top player to sacrfice when we should be adding such quality, not losing them for 3rd summer in a row.
100% this, it isn't even about the amount of money we would get from selling him. I don't care if we received a 100m bid. Everyone knows we won't be able to find a replacement if he goes, it's why other clubs are offering so much for him. The message selling AS would send to fans would be absolutely terrible and it would turn A LOT of fans against the board. I don't even like that Marotta is saying stuff like this to the media. Just say "we rejected a bid", it's easy.
I know it's early in the mercato season, but so far it's been one negative thing after another. They need to make some moves to show that we are still as ambitious as ever. Selling AS would be the absolute opposite of ambitious.
I am willing to accept nothing less than keeping your best players and build upon them EVERY fucking year but hey, it's impossible to keep players with mere 3 seasons left on their contract.
wow, if Beppe really sells Alex that would be , of all his good he is really killing our club with all the selling of top players every damn summer, ****
we take one step forward and Beppe sends us 3 steps damn back each summer...
but some posters like Zach will remind us what a benefit it was to sell players like Sandro and Bonucci when it actually happens and how their replacements fit in tactically better so why do I even bother...
True.
And selling him will sho to Europe that we are just a little above Porto level club who is selling it's best players every year. Not a single word more.

totally unacceptable if this guy leaves, he's one of the best fullbacks/wingbacks around, you can't improve on that no matter if it's 50m or 70m we receive
What makes you guys think he's even leaving? We rejected an offer, Marotta said we want to keep him, and there's talks of us trying to giving him a new contract. Not saying it's impossible, but there isn't anything to indicate he's leaving.
