yes I think he wants to come
:)

chelsea also still has bruma for the future (who is going to be very good better then rajkovic for sure)
so i think they are willing to sell him
terry, luiz, ivanovic and bruma for the next 2 a 3 season will be enough for them.

in what way is this mercato horrible? we have strengthened the full back areas,we have strengthened the midfield,we have brought in a very good forward, all we need now is possibly a centre back and LM which marotta is working on.

so please, tell me how this is a horrible market? or are you so busy lamenting every "lost opportunity" that the media claims?
-We have again chosen quantity over quality and risked to add more squad player, than investing on a couple high class starters.
-Again we have overlooked our cronic LW and defensive issues (apart from the best transfer of the season Licht)
-Again we have invested the majority of our transfer budget on yet another CM and SS, despite having enough of them to field a whole formation made of them.
-Again we have failed to sign our primary targets and have wasted our budget on opportunity targets, undermining our chances to buy quality starters even at the latest part of mercato, or at worst save money and buy them in a next transfer window.
-Again we failed to sale our players for decent amounts, or use them as bargain coins.
-Again we have squashed our strategic plans and submitted to panic buys.
-Again we have failed to avoid losing vast sums of our capital, invested on players like Melo, that particular fiasco, is IMO one of the worst transfer failure action of the last decade. Totally uncalled to gift this player and have him replaced, after a decent season, over our cronic and more urgent needs, while losing most, if not all of the invested sum on him, for no particularly good reason.
-Again we are letting the nationalist sentiments decide over our interest and needs for better performances.
Should i go on?
:disagree: actually a CB should be a periority over any other position right now. We can survive this season with a left winger like Pasquato who actually looked pretty good in the preseason games. Both Barzagli and Bonucci are crappy defenders who can cost us many many points this season if we kept faith in them.

No matter how great our attackers and wingers are if we're gonna conceede 2-3 goals almost every game because of mistakes from those two we will end up in a pretty poor position in the table. If we have a poor defence the whole team will be shaky and players will lose faith pretty quick in the team.

If our team is solid in the back then mentaly the whole team will be stronger IMO. My only concern with Alex is his injuries, i just hope he won't be injured most of the season (ala andrade) and we'd be forced to play the rest of the season with the likes of bonucci and Barzagli.
True that, our defense still sucks and a more offensive formation and less competent technician will expose it even more.
Objectively, we really do not a better Chiello starter, this should have been our priority, when we were spending 45-mil to secure Matri, Quaq and Vucinic.
BUT, we have changed 50% of our defense, by adding two better wingbacks and if we keep sorensen, on theory, we can at least field a relatively decent defense with Zegllier, Chiello, Licht and one of Bonucci, Barzagli or Sorensen in a good or decent day.

But on the left flank, our best bet is Martinez, which is... just a Martinez, he rarely has decent days...
Pasquato did not impressed me much, he is a poor man's Giovinco imo and if Giovinco failed to survive the physical serie A, despite his superior speed and techinque, i doubt that Pasquato can bloom as a starter under worse conditions.

This is a tragid dilema anyway, but unfortunately our board is so tragic, that has lead us to this situation and even now, they rather seem more interesting to add yet another mediocre Italian forward...

Cron, before you stated that this mercato would have been better if we signed a CB straight away and a LW. You said Vargas. You lamented the fact we got Vucinic, you didn't want another striker. What happens now that we are going to get a CB and a LW along with Vucinic? I am not sure what else you want? You claim that we are adding another average Italian striker, who is that?

The acquisition of a Cb and a LW will change everything.
ATM it seems that we wont sign a decent CB and LW, because we had favored the acquisition of Vidal and Vucinic, who were not priorities, but opportunity targets.
But if we manage to sign the players we ve always needed, then adding 2 extra opportunity targets of great quality is just an extra welcomed bonus!
But if we dont, they are a double mistake, one that we could and should have avoided to commit.

To clarify this, our priority is to upgrade our weaklings first and then eventually add top class players, that will add up gradually and form a competitive team.
The easiest and most efficient way to enhance our performance is by replacing our worst players with as much better as we can get, rather than waste time and resources to fine tune, the ones who are already decent and still suffer enourmously by our weaklings.

Our defense SUCKS, big time, in the past 6 years, they have been our biggest issue and the lack of a top tactician who could take the maximum of our available material and employ a certain attacking plan that works.
We have been constanly overlooking all these issues, keep compromising our chances, with cheap free quick fixes on the defense and unproven coaches,
just because we insist to invest on Italians and rather prefer ephemeral income of extra incoming coming from the hyped nationalist Italian fans, who are coming to see their local heroes try some fancy dribblin...

In the past 6 years, we have added more than eleven CMs and SSs, of an average value of 15mil, we have wasted hundreds of millions for those 2 positions, if we were spending 15mil to buy a new starter in every position, we would have a very competent squad by know.
We must stop investing on more CMs and SSs and start investing in other positions, prefarably over the defense.
This has been the case and my stance in the past 5 years and we keep repeating the same mistakes each and every year.

Hmm, Lichtsteiner-Alex-Chiellini-PDC : Rafael-Vidic-Ferdinand-Evra

Doesn't look too shit when you put it up there, only worse at LB IMO, by a long way granted.

I think Cronios wanted our forward line to be: Quagliarella, Matri, Del Piero, Toni, Iaquinta & Amauri.
I would be pleased with that and a Melo, Pirlo, Pazienza and Marchisio as subs and one LW (Bastos, Vargas) and CB (Zapata, Lugano, Alex like)
with the extra cash i would prefer to see a better LB, Licht like quality and price.
That would be enough, from there, if we still had cash i wouldnt mind adding Vidal and Vucinic, hell even Ghiacherrini.
But i would still prefer to invest all that cash on one player (Rossi?) but ONLY after the above mentioned priorities were finalised!!!

So if we changed the sequence, i would still be pleased. But now we risk the worst case scenario, to fix the things that are not broken over the expense of the broken things...

We will get a CB, most likely Alex.

Probably getting a LW as well, I don't think Bastos was that much wanted by us, rumours of him died slowly after Conte arrived, maybe Conte wants another one than Vargas & Bastos?

And btw that forward line of Amauri,Iaq,Toni & DP is not good enough. Amauri and Iaq would either be injured or doing more harm than good. Toni and DP are just too old. What would we do if GOD FORBID Quag or Matri got a serious injury?

i ve been hearing that since June, but not this June only, but every june in the past 6 years, hopefully the miracle i ve been waiting all those years, will happen in the last week of this transfer window...

because so far i only see us gathering/collecting CMs and SSs only...

I will be happy if we get Lugano/Alex and Vargas/Bastos. I wont even mind Giachierrini after that. I will stop bashing the unwise investment of the unedeed Vidal+Vucinic.
Extra happy if we manage to sell Amauri or even better Iaq, as well.

This is a possible outcome that could make me happy, i m not asking for unrealistic Rossi, Benzema, Ribery, not even a hazard, elia, ivanovic.
I dont even dare to hope/wish for such players to join our humble new age Juve.

I would be pissed off to see us buying a player, as clueless as Perotti/Gianigerti or whatever for starter, because we have spent all our cash to upgrade Melo+Quaq with Vidal+Vucinic, or even worse use Martinez as starter...
