Very strong and physically imposing centerback, if Chelsea were willing to sell to us i'd have loved to have him at Arsenal. Imo you guys shouldn't pass up the chance to sign him if the price is right.

Thanks Cap.

So, where is the money that was reserved for the super star signing?!
part of that was spent on Vucinic. It seems you still have ~20 mil left of the transfer money, and if you can get another 10-15 from the sales of Amauri, Iaquinta, Martinez, etc - or that money's worth in make-weights in other deals - you could have another 30-35 mil left to spend.

That's a Lugano and a Nani right there, sell Bonucci's ass and you can get Alex or Coates too :D

yep, injury issues from last season aside, which prevented him from reaching top form and earning a regular starting spot, I rate Alex very highly - he had been on Milan's radar for years now, ever since Milan played PSV in the CL back in 2005 but he was always a Chelski player - Ancelotti back in those days called him 'the best CB in the world', and he sure knew what he was talking about.

No, because you said they might move for a top CB, and Chiellini has been linked with Real many times the last few seasons.

He has. But I think the only official approach for him was made by Man City when Secco was GM. He was nearly sold then I understand.

I know it would be difficult for him to turn down Real should they decide to make a bid for him, after all he's still young and is yet to earn major honors.

Tuttosport is not good enough for you,

Chelsea don't want to loan, 10 - 13mil,

Options:

1. Spend cash on a CB, See if we can loan or trade for a LM

2. Spend cash on a LM, Get Lugano for free or cheap
I don't see what all the fuss is about really  i don't rate him that highly. Option #2 plz

I love Alex, but can he command the defence as well as lugano could? that is my concern, as great as chiellini is as a defender, im not entirely convinced he can organise a defence efficiently
