What the fuck.

---

According to the Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus will renew the contract of defender Jorge Andrade.

The Bianconeri want to do so as Andrade is wanted by various other clubs, especially in Spain, even though he has always declared that he wants to remain in Turin.

The Old Lady is expected to offer him a new three-year deal to reward him for the work he has done over the last years following his unfortunate injuries.

Just recently, transfer guru Alessio Secco managed to extend the deals to some of the most promising young players of the club and this move will be welcomed by the Bianconero fans.

However, Andrade does not seem to have the best of rapports with the Juventus management who have often criticized him for being injured, amongst other things, and failing to accomplish much on the pitch.

According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Andrade is expected to sign the new deal in the first days of next week.

Andrade still has 1.5 years left of his old contract and he's earning 2m eur per year (4m with taxes).
IIRC, he doesn't want his contract terminated and he's willing to sit out the rest of his contract and get his 2 millions.
If he's willing to accept a 3 year contract worth, lets say, 500k per year then i'm all for it. Instead of paying 6m until June 2010 we'll pay 3m until January 2012.

I don't want to see Andrade's face again, specially if he took all his wages without any cut (I know that's what professionals do, but I can't stand that act).

We missed out on him because Ranieri wanted Poulsen instead not because the deal went too long to bag.
Indeed, which was another great decision. Money well spent.

I said

takes months to reach an agreement and in the end we lose out on that player.

We talked to Liverpool for weeks, didn't make it happen for $$$, coach choice and decided on Poulsen.
That's what happened. Again, negotiating skills were at fault there as well.

Some of you guys oughta have your sarcasm licenes revoked. Your sarcasm is a frigging danger to society.
Seriously. The only thing slightly humorous is the "we're doomed" talk that nobody really claimed before, but the rest is getting old.

The only case was Gabriel Milito. Alonso's case does not fit your prototype.
Ivanovic was missed out because of wages.
Flamini was also missed out because of wages.

Other than that, it's just the ugly amount of transfer rumours is what makes Secco less "talented" than what he actually is.
What talent?

The guy had no experience at a negotiating table before. From what we have seen, Secco hasn't proven any capability whatsoever yet, and it is probable that the guy was never fit for the position in the first place.

I do. Maybe he can finally do what he was signed to do. :D I'd take him 7 times over the Panuccis of the world.
You have a point here, I bet the one we will replace will turn out another Molinaro or no better than Grygera. But then again, he isn't playing for two years, how long he will need to go back to his form, which wasn't anything big back then. Good, but not worth to have all this patience

The only position Secco is talented with Juve is handling that paper to the referee before the substitution, I never saw the paper dropped down ever.

Yeah, except we've arleeady payed 4 mil of those.

An innocent question. Why should we really care about how much Andrade has earned or is making? I mean, we're frustrated and worried at how much the club is paying him...

Specially Zlatan(the member) I remember you've always been worried or questioning why we're paying this or that player this much. I remember also the Del Piero discussion we had once and also questioning Moggi.

Obviously, no one agrees on this, I mean why would we pay him this much and have Secco asking Del Piero, Buffon, Nedved, Trezeguet to sign a new contract and having their wages cut.

It doesn't sound logic of course but then again these things are between the Mang and Players. We can moan about their quality/our games/tactics, but we can never know the big clubs financial situation.

Gazzetta says that we're offering a new contract to Andrade.
At first glance, offering him a new 3 year contract sounds like the craziest move ever. Just look at the reactions of those who read the article.

But since i really can't accept that someone is so crazy to offer Andrade a new contract i started thinking why would we offer him a new contract and i came up with what i wrote above.
Andrade accepting a big pay-cut is the only logical reason why would Secco even think about offering him a 3 year contract when Andrade has only 1.5 years left of his old one.

Makes sense.

Edit: Your post, not Secco.

I hate the fact that we pay players who are not playing/training because of the injury. There must be insurance about this, like Ronaldo for example? I remember back then that If Ronaldo quit football back then, Inter was going to get loads of cash.

There must be physio companies, to send their doctors and heal the injuries and all, and we can pay for players' insurances for not getting injured. I bet we would have made millions if that was possible.

Ok, i admit that i saw this on Total Club Manager but still i have to ask because i dont know if that is the case in real life or is it just a very smart idea from the creator of the game; Can a player be insured in an insurance company and when he gets injured the ins. company pays his salary while he is injured???
