Very good stats for Matri and a classic Mirko. I wouldn't read too much into Quags stats though, half of that time he spent either injured or trying to regain match fitness in a team chasing the title.

Well, I was thinking of we sell him off along with Matri, we could raise close to 18 million. That might be enough to make a sizable contribution towards a JoJo/Higuain.

I'd rather have JoJo, Llorente, Higuain, Vucinic, and Gio than Llorente, Higuain, Quag/Matri, Giovinco, and Vucinic.

When you said a guaranteed better striker, I didn't have exactly Jovetič in mind. He might look better in theory, but there're no guarantees that he will offer any step up in quality when actually at Juve, it's a big transition. Anyways, it's unlikely we'll get 18m from Quag+Matri sale and even more unlikely we'll sign Jovetič for 18m, both happening in the same summer? Pretty impossible.

Quag fanboys, would you sell Quag for 8-10 million if it guaranteed a better striker arriving?
if by a striker you mean a finisher like Higuain, then yes, if you mean yet another SS like Jovetic then no.
And ny all means, not yet another AMF Diamanti, what we need to improve the most is finishing the loads of chances we create, another SS and AMF would create more chances in the expense of finishing, thus further increasing our finishing issues and create uneccesary competition.

To buy Jovetic, we need to sell one of the many SSs and i am afraid one of the high profile ones (Giovinco or Vucinic), not our currently best finisher...

IMO a "fanboy", is a person that blindly defends his favourite player even when he knows he is wrong,, or even convinces himself that he is not wrong.

While i dont consider myself a quag fanboy, i think i can answer ur question. If it means a striker who is better than him, the answer is simple!! ........why not?.
If that will bring sucess to us, lets do it!.

I would prefer to keep him if we fail to sign jovetic, or use him to get higuain. But i would rather sacrifice matri and giovinco in any case... before quags. I beleive that he was our most effective striker given the chances he generated in comparison with his playing time.
Keeping Matri just because he plays as a cente forward is not wise, as i do not believe in his attitude and composure in front of goal. Matri is not bad, but i find quags to be more mentally prepared when called upon. Thats all.

Yes because Matri didn't score in consecutive games in the $#@!ing knock out rounds...
His first goal in the away celtic game was decisive, but kinda lucky.
Quags goal against chelsea was clever, and he almost won us the game when he rattled the bar minutes after.

Matri is not composed in front of goal, and he tends to "just kick the ball and hope for the best" most of the time. He seems to not be as accurate or intelligent. Thats my impression of him. Quags also kicks it like a madman sometimes... but i like his attitude more (but not his constant whinning to his teammates :p )

Quag's goal is still more impressive

Those stats posted earlier prove otherwise (compared to Quag)

even when his stats in that chart shows a 1% better than quags, he is and will always be an easy tap in kind of striker. He is not there for anything else. We need more than that, and quags offers that.... and Llorente can potentially offer more than both. So..

Listen.. those clumsy-like strikers like Matri should be taken out to be sincere. Nowadays, get technical strikers or just get out.
