well done, Cato...play the idiot, and defend your spastic honour...you seem far from interested in decent debate, rather...eager to proclaim FACT. What kind of fool suggests opinion as fact???? answer me that...but i doubt you can do so with numbers, without insults, without some worthy of your rep as prime kunt tirade of 'he smokes marijuana so his opinion is negligible'...i was following Juve when you were sucking your mother's tit...
No, Amauri was the better player without question, both through the numbers and simply by watching him play.

First six months of both careers:

Matri - 9 goals in 16 appearances, 0.56 goal ratio

Amauri - 11 goals in 17 appearances, 0.65 goal ratio

Moreover, as Adriano wrote, Amauri's first six months were proclaimed as transfer of the season for us at that point in time and he won several awards for his play. The overall threat he was to defenses in holding onto the ball and creating space for his sidekick was better than what Matri has shown so far, too. Plus Amauri's performances in Europe were also very solid, including the wins over Real. Matri has certainly done well, but he isn't being regarded as the transfer of the season currently. Krasic and Quagliarella have that title on lock, deservedly so.

The only reason why people don't give credit to Amauri is because of his horrid play following his first six months at the club. People just don't want to admit that the player was good due to extreme distaste for him, which is fine, but no need to rewrite history. This is not Bush's memoirs here.

So, stick that in your pipe and smoke it (and I know you will, which is fine, but it doesn't seem to be working for you regardless..)

:shifty: Almost the same, with the loan amount he'll cost 17.5 millions and amauri value was around 20 million. Plus Cagliari seems to want "just" cash.

Anyways i still think Matri's price is too high.
His loan cost us 2.5, so the overall price is 18m. Amauri cost us exactly 22.8m. That's almost 5m difference how is that almost the same?!
I agree Matri's price is a little exaggerated, it should be 12-15m tops. I wouldn't mind someone better replacing him.

IMO if Cellino insisted on not including youngsters in the deal, I'm afraid we'll have to let Matri go. :(
