Aquilani fit to face Milan
Alberto Aquilani and Gigi Buffon return to the Juventus squad ahead of tomorrow night’s big game with leaders Milan.

Buffon has completed the one-match ban that followed his red card in a 2-0 defeat at Lecce.

There were major injury doubts over Aquilani’s ability to take part in this match and it’s not clear if he is fit to start or only sit on the bench after suffering a thigh injury a week ago.

Simone Pepe is suspended, while Fabio Grosso, Hasan Salihamidzic, Leandro Rinaudo, Paolo De Ceglie, Momo Sissoko and Fabio Quagliarella are unavailable.

It is reported that Giorgio Chiellini will return to the centre-back position, pushing Leonardo Bonucci on to the bench.

Jorge Martinez is again expected to take a wide midfield position, as he did against Bologna.

I like him and has had great games, but I agree, between Masch and him you'd have to a hardcore italian nationalist to pick Aqua man.
but why would you compare and pick one or the other. Mascherano is a DM whereas Aquilani is there to offer something offensively from a centre midfield position...if Mascherano comes in, i would question whether melo or mascherano starts.

Unless we bring in a playmaker to play infront of melo and a player like mascherano, then i wouldnt be swapping.

Juve send Aquilani back to Liverpool?

It’s reported Juventus have decided not to sign Alberto Aquilani on a permanent basis, sending him back to Liverpool.
The midfielder arrived on loan last summer and has been relatively impressive, but the €15m price-tag is considered too high.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Juve directors have decided they will not make the move permanent unless there is a substantial discount.

It will send the 26-year-old back to Liverpool, although it might not be for very long.

Reports in Italy also suggest that Milan are ready to snap up Aquilani as a replacement for Andrea Pirlo, who has himself been linked with Juventus.

that line just says it all really :(

if we let him go back and buy pirlo on a 3 year contract that just shows how midtable we are..
send his ass back if we have another good option but pirlo is way past it....why would we need a 31 year old midfielder on high wages.... another player who won'T run.....

There's so many good attacking midfielders out there, I don't want to settle for a mediocre one. Maybe he regains his form under a different coach though, we really don't suit his style so far.
