20-30M :lol3:. Many of you guys has that "the grass is greener on the other side" thinking.

Let's see which characteristics of a starting left side mid we need:

- Great work rate and stamina to cover for CR7's little pressing and non existent defend, offer width when CR7 cut inside.
- Great passing and control the ball - Sarriball
- Tough tacking - cover Arthur's weakness
- Good in press resist.
- Have size and strength to win aerial battle in mid or in attack when he runs to the box. Arthur, Dybala, D.Costa lack this.
- Don't panic in top match.

Now let's see our targets so far:

- SMS: He is a playmaker, not a box-to-box, perfect for Allegri but not so much for Sarri, lack stamina to run up and down the field.

- Tonali: too green, he's like our Bentancur 2 years ago, with little more brave and passing ability but less dynamic. Can't be our starting mid.

- Castrovilli: Great when have the ball at his feet, good work rate but he's not a press resist player. He tends to disappear when the team is pressed. lack size.

- Aouar: I don't know about him, but he seems more of technical mid, force him into this defensive role may not be ideal.

- Pellegrini / Locatelli is overrated, they don't influence the game enough.

- Pogba: While it's great on paper, I don't think put him behind Ronaldo will work. He has changed when he come to Man U. First: his work rate now is below average, our left side will be exposed and the pressing plan will fail. The team will be pushed back, the forwards won't see the ball and you guys will start the blame game (Sarri) soon. Second: he tends to cut inside and occupy space for Ronaldo, and we all know Ronaldo needs space the most. I know Pogba is great, but put great players together doesn't always bring greater result. When we signed Cr7, all of us fapping to the idea of him and Dybala play together. 2 years pass and now we still can't make the two working well together despite we had a high intelligent, flexible coach in Allegri. Third: Pogba's cost will be high, may be too high that we can't afford.

Now after long analysis, look back to our roster and we already have a player that tick all the box: Rabiot (may be not great work rate, but he is improving and have great stamina). People don't like his attitude, I agree he looks like a jerk but I know that character, he does care, you can see yesterday he made a slide tackle in 90 minutes, that's Vidal's mentality. Deep inside he is just a sensitive boy and he needs stable, family enviroment. We have exactly that and he starts to do well. Give him more time and make he feels important, I believe he can do great things for us.

It's been two games, so please let's temper the excitement. Again, we should always looking to improve. I don't think a starting midfield of Rabiot, Bentancur and Arthur is going to be enough going into next season. I feel it's going to be too inconsistent and might get overwhelmed in the big matches. Ramsey coming off the bench or starting when fit is definitely useful, but we need more. We definitely need one starting quality mid of a very high level.
We should look to sell Khedira and Matuidi. Rabiot is a decent 4th option. With his age he won’t lose value in the coming years. If we can make some plusvalenza with other players I’d like to keep him.

Im not sold on him yet but letting him go after one season seems really premature unless its absolutley needed to bring someone in. He was out last year and this season has been weird. New country and new team. Juve are adapting to a new system so its not like he can just slide in to the system everyone knows. He is looking better every game he plays and hes currently our 3-4 best cm so why geet rid of him now??? It literally makes no sense.

The only argument I see for him leaving is bc his wage is high but after paying for a player thats an impact player in the cm we would be way in the hole financially. We just paid 82 mil for a cm thats not exactly a world beater.

4th best option? Bentancur and Pjanic (I'm not even sure about Pjanic) are ahead of him but who is the 3rd? Ramsey sure as hell ain't and same goes for Matuidi.

Yes you can throw him under the bus but after he performs well we need to pump the breaks bc that might mean youre wrong. Got it

Thats my point. Hes 3rd best and even if you are biased hes at absolute worst 4th. But I agree hes 3rd best as of now although he struggled with speed of play earlier this season which is understandable giving his 7 month layoff

You're insufferable. I don't know why you're so butthurt over my comments pertaining to Rabiot in particular. It's as if you have a vested interest in this transfer or a personal relationship with him of some sort. I never threw him under the bus. I've always been clear how I feel about this acquisition from the off. Again, our midfield is nothing to write home about, and two above average performances from your boy wonder are not going to change my mind. Yes, he very well may be the 4th or even 3rd best option in midfield, but that owes as much to our dearth of options in that department as it does to his own abilities and attributes.

  :howler: Wow. Just wow. I might be at one end of the spectrum, but you're definitely at the extreme opposite end. You talk of Rabiot as if he is some potential world beater, world class talent, a Vidal Marchisio hybrid rolled into one.

forgot to add Ruru as utility player, he can play anywhere :)
You were doing so well, until you mentioned that shitstick who doesn't know how to play football and is currently infesting Genoa with his limited "footballing" capabilities.

If I had it my way is have this midfield next season
Arhur
Bentancur
New cm who is a starter level
Rabiot
Ramsey
Bernadeschi
I can't disagree with that, but who is the new CM at a starter level? I'm just curious the names you have in mind :D

Actually, wait. Why is Bertha still there? What exactly has he done to retain his place in the squad? Also, you do realize it will be almost impossible to get rid of both Khedira and Blaised and Confused.

Ramsey has been better.
I can only remember him being at J-Medical and he stole that one goal from Princess7 in CL. After new year he hasn't done anything worth mentioning.
