I’ve trashed rabiot but he’s come around lately. matuidi meanwhile looks washed up. I don’t think the teams good play and Matuidis benching is a coincidence. Could Rabiot be the guy next to Bentancur and Arthur?

He is definitely coming on strong right now at a great time. But I rather wait and see how he does against Atalanta and Lazio and then in CL before determining if he’s starter material next season. He might be the most important player rest of this season.

Even if he does continue to improve, we shouldn't go into next season relying on a starting lineup of Rabiot, Bentancur and Arthur. That would be a recipe for disaster. We clearly need a starting caliber player in the midfield, and I hope the management realize that. And no, it can't be Jorginho.
