Duo Downplay Adriano Talk
AC Milan and Juventus have brushed aside rumours of a possible swoop for Internazionale striker Adriano.
The Brazilian has been out of favour at Inter in the past two campaigns, leading to speculation of a possible move away from the San Siro during the winter transfer window.
However, when Juventus president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli was asked if his club would make a move for Adriano, he said: "No."
Milan president Silvio Berlusconi also stressed his club would not move for Adriano.
He said: "When I said any club would be interested in a champion like Adriano, it was meant as a compliment and not to create a controversy."
Inter coach Roberto Mancini did not include Adriano for the club's Champions League game against CSKA Moscow this week.
"Adriano's problems will end when he starts to live a normal life," said Mancini, referring to the player's love of the nightlife. "I know he says the contrary, but he is not in the right condition to play."
