so what you re really questioning is how committed he is to the jersey? i think lippi is best positioned to establish that.
yes, I am questioning it.

I always questioned it.

I don't think he really cares who he plays for as long as he gets on the international stage to be honest with you.

But I have always said that.

At least with Giuseppe Rossi, I have no reason to believe that the reason he wants to play for Italy is for anything other than because he is fulfilling his and his father's dreams.

You know why?

Because that was mine and my father's dreams growing up, too. I can understand where he is coming from.

But just like with Camo, if Amauri wins the World Cup and does a great job, all the haters will then love him. Vinni hated Camo at first, too, by saying he wasn't Italian. So did Stefano Fiore. Then when the next Amauri comes around, the same scenario will play out -- dislike -> hate -> love. Repeat the cycle over and over again.

Either Camo, Rossi and Amauri are Italians or all of them are not. Can't have it both ways. It's absolutely retarded.

Exactly, you just told me you weren't Italian. You told me everyone in your family is, but not you.

Go and tell my family both here and abroad that I'm not Italian.

Go ahead, give it a shot. See what happens

I wouldn't say Italians love Camoranesi at all. Perhaps we are biased here because we are Juve fans, but I don't see a lot of love for Camoranesi in an Italy shirt. When he won the World Cup he dedicated it to his friends back where he grew up in Argentina, it was a sporting decision by him just as it is for Amauri. But at least he had an Italian passport by heritage, Amauri would be getting his through residency which may be the laws of the country and FIFA but has never really sat right with me. I've argued this point before with England fans on the subject of Almunia, and he is not even very good, I don't agree with fans who would take any player they think would improve their national team. A national team is not like a club team, it should consist of players who understand what the country is about and fights for the shirt and the people of that country. Camoranesi to his credit said he fought for the colours of Italy even though he was Argentine, hopefully if Amauri does get the call he will understand the difference between pulling on the Verde e Amarelo and la Maglia Azzurra.

Personally I think players should be required to show seven generations of aristocratic lineage before lacing up the boots.

And at that, Pocohantas and Sitting Bull would not have true North American blood, given that they're genealogy goes back to Mongols and Russian eskimos before their ancestors crossed the Bering Sea.
Point of order... Africa. Mainly Madagascar. The cradle of life and all that.
