The contract extension of doom

There were 'pay as you play' contracts back in the day especially for chronically injured footballers but nowadays with the increase in TV revenues and sponsorships, players get guaranteed money even if you have made a career out of spending more time in the hospital than on the pitch.

Iaquinta was a called a leech when he was collecting dem paychecks while sitting in the hospital most of the time but apparently with this guy somehow the narrative is different. The narrative is 'blame the directors', 'why should he give up the money' , 'He's respecting the contract' like wtf...

What an absolute joke

From what I gather, neither Khedira or Higuain will leave if they dont get their appropriate compensation. We are waiting to see if there are any interested clubs that we could potentially insert in swap deals but I'm sure none would want to take on this 'burden' of two washed up overpaid...

He did the same thing at Madrid. He had one year on his contract remaining in 2013 and he could've easily ended up playing for United but instead he chose to sit on Real's bench( and sometimes even in the stands ) and collect his paycheck before eventually leaving on a free. Honestly this guy...
