I don't think we are kidding ourselves that we will actually be able to compete with teams like that financially, but we don't honestly need to too be a successful team. The FFP laws should help somewhat though
Well I don't agree but anyway if we end up with a better CF and Giovinco (as opposed to Pepsi) on the right wing then we will need a better workrate from our center three and by the way Marchisio's forward runs that you drool over would be less important with competent attackers.
I see no reason to believe that this is a certainty. Asamoah could take over a lot of the gritty defensive work and allow Vidal more freedom like Marchisio has now.
I know that Conte has a hard on for Marchisio, and he will probably take his time integrating Kwadwo, but I really doubt he's going to break up Vidal - Pirlo - Asamoah once he gets a taste of it. That midfield is just too dominant.
