No. I think he's a fine depth signing if he agrees to a reasonable wage. Getting him on a bosman would also allow us to raise 7-8mil by selling Sissoko.

I disagree. Pirlo may have a better passing range but he would slow down the tempo of their play. Xavi is much better at the constant short pass and move game IMO. Accommodating Pirlo might actually hurt their play.

I don't agree with the catenaccio reference but Pirlo is somewhat a limited player. Not the type I would want if we were playing in the CL next season but I think his play still suits Serie A well enough. I wouldn't mind Pirlo here next season.
