From BBC Heinze loses bid for Anfield move Heinze joined United from Paris St Germain in 2004 Manchester United's Gabriel Heinze has lost his attempt to force the club to allow him to move to rivals Liverpool. United disputed claims from Heinze, 29, who said the Red Devils gave him...

He certainly has a German Passport, but I don't know how German he is. Heinze is a German name.

They probably think he is average because that is what he has been for a lot of the time he was at Man U. This is not because he is an average player, rather because he has been unfit for a lot of the time, such as the games against Milan. This means people may only have seen him playing at...

The problem is that United said that it had to be activavted before a certain date, which has now passed, and so the clause is void.

That is his release clause in his contract, which is what Liverpool went for as it would be the only way an U would let him go there. He would be sold for less to another team because Man U don't mind selling and they will sell him to anyone other than a rival.

I don't think it is worth signing Heinze, if Chiellini stays. Molinaro seems to be very highly rated so, if Chiellini played CB, I would be happy to play him LB. Criscito can also play LB or CB so we are well covered for LB, which is why Balza was sold.

Chiellini is almost as good as Heinze at the moment but hopefully he will improve and become much better than him.

I don't think we will get the chance to find out since Madrid and Barca are interested.

Certainly makes it less likely but not impossible. man Utd will still have O'Shea and Silvestre as back up players for LB. If Heinze makes it clear that he wants to leave and that he won't sign a new deal next summer Man Utd would be willing to sell.

Suppose it is possible but it seems very unlikely. Given that we won't have a huge squad this next season we are better off without European football to concentrate on getting the CL spot cos Uefa cup doesn't give much money and it won't encourage top players to come to us.

You must be in the top league in whatever country to qualify for Intertoto so we can't get in.

I will be pleased to see Heinze at Juve. He is a good defender who will be better when playing all the time rather than occasionally like at Utd.

Have you seen the goals they conceded? 1st was a freekick from 35yds given away by Evra and 2nd goal was a shot from 25yds when Wes Brown didn't close down the attacker. Heinze couldn't be blamed for either goal.
