Giorgio Chiellini - Director of Football Strategy

Are his injury woes finally behind him now? That’s three 90 minute matches in the last 7 days. He was coming back from an ACL which can usually increase a player’s susceptibility to other kinds of leg injuries due to overcompensation in one area.

    In top form atm.

    Cristiano Ronaldo

It’s perplexing why they don’t play the ball. Simple ones too.

    Douglas Costa

From living in Munich and Turin to living in Wolverhampton...ouch. That's a serious downgrade in environment and city life never mind the clubs he's playing for.

    Paulo Dybala

Ronaldo's peak years at scoring longshots was from like 09-13.

    Cristiano Ronaldo

You're right, their renaissance coincided with when Zlatan joined the club but they've still had several imperious displays without him on the pitch. They've looked more lacklustre recently because they're missing a number of other key players, not just Ibra.

    Winter Mercato Thread 2021

Morata is our only true #9 and this is the profile of a forward that gets the best out of Ronaldo. Without Morata, the attack lacks a focal point. Dybala isn't a #9 and Kulu wouldn't fulfil this sort of role so Morata needs a back-up.

Giroud is the only option that makes sense for the profile of player we want but he's likely unattainable.

    Leonardo Bonucci

He’s still Real Madrid’s most influential player alongside Benzema. I think the situation revolving his contract is similar to the Ronaldo one for them.

    Federico Chiesa

Well he’s not injury prone like Costa (touch wood) so that alone is already an improvement.

    Cristiano Ronaldo

Milan don’t skip a beat when Zlatan isn’t in the side while Juve look half the team in Ronaldo’s absence so I don’t think both situations are comparable. Zlatan is more like just an icing to their cake if anything as they’ve mostly done it without him.

    Alex Sandro

He looks so flat footed. Whenever he receives the ball, it feels like he’ll just squander possession to the opposition.

    Cristiano Ronaldo

I generally agree with your comment. Age is not a key factor when discussing someone like Ronaldo but he was definitely better at 27 than he was at 33. He was just more successful in his 30s as Madrid became more dominant in Europe. Ramos peaked in his 30s though for sure.

I still don't get where the gay vibes come from. He doesn't come across as gay to me.

I doubt that it was him seeing that he travelled to Dubai a few days ago as of his instagram.

    Serie A 2020-21

It's either Inter or Milan's title to lose. Would take something incredible for us to come back from this particularly with our schedule.
