Wishlist and General Juve mercato talk (2014-15)

I think a lot of people would have a different opinion of Bonucci and a number of the other players mentioned if you were watching all of them with as critical an eye as you watch Juve players with. Mistakes made also live rather longer in the memory if they've caused you severe emotional...

Kostas Manolas - CB - Roma

And that was, in an amazing coincidence, the last time he really played continuously. Injured a lot in 12/13 with Torino. Not given much playing time with Juve last season.

I don't see Juve coming up with something good enough in the transfer market in the next few weeks to make me think Juve should be thinking of dropping Pirlo. Lavezzi wouldn't be enough to make me think me think changing system and dropping Pirlo would be a good idea.

I didn't say you couldn't get the most out of both of them. I said there wasn't a system I'd want to play that could get the best out of both of them.

Haven't seen Coman, but unless he's Nedved, I wouldn't want to play like that. And I don't see the point in suggesting Pirlo-less formations, even with Allegri in charge.

I'd say Tevez is technically the better dribbler. Lavezzi has the acceleration that allows him to beat men quite easily, though.

    [GER] Bundesliga 2014/2015

Didn't see anything interesting in BVB-Bayern. Both teams were missing so many players and BVB looked significantly sharper than Bayern. Could easily see Bayern making a slow start to the season, but wouldn't read anything more into it than that. I'd say that Martinez's injury is a shame, but...

There's no system that I'd want to play that would allow both Tevez and Lavezzi to play anything like as well as they can. One would always end up being sacrificed somehow.

Unless you can name players who Juve could realistically sign, I don't see the point in your complaint. Better just get used to the fact that there are so few good central defenders around just now. Given the current lack of good players in that position, I'd say Juve have actually got...

    [ITA] Serie A 2014/2015

You'll get a good idea of the date once the CL draw is made towards the end of August. It's just after a CL round, so it should be on the Sunday night unless both teams are drawn to play on the Tuesday, which would open up the possibility of it being on the Saturday.

Yeah, but I didn't feel that Conte lacked clear ideas. If you go through the goals that Juve conceded in Europe, very few were down to tactical issues. Milan didn't play with wingers under Allegri. They were counter-attacking with guys like Ibrahimovic, Robinho and Boateng...

    Arturo Vidal

http://www.calciomercato.com/news/mercato-juve-news-dall-inghilterra-769444 This is saying the Daily Mail believes Man Utd have given up on signing Vidal. I'm not managing to find the article that says that on the Daily Mail website, though.

No, but setting the defence up really well does allow you some interesting tactical options. When Milan were playing weak teams at home in Serie A, Allegri would often have a team on the field with three players who would offer virtually nothing defensively and would almost always have two...

Yeah, that's where I heard it. Didn't remember it originating with Tancredi.
