[CL] Juventus 2-1 Real Madrid (May 5th, 2015)

I'd be surprised if that was the case. As soon as he was subbed against Samp, I assumed he was going to start tonight.

[CL] Juventus 2-1 Real Madrid (May 5th, 2015)

    What's wrong with Pereyra, anyway?

[CL] Juventus 2-1 Real Madrid (May 5th, 2015)

The trade-off with Sturaro playing instead of Pereyra is that Juve may be able to put more pressure on Real Madrid's deep midfielders and win the ball in dangerous situations. Vidal is obviously more likely to manage to do that when trequartista than Pereyra.

[CL] Juventus 2-1 Real Madrid (May 5th, 2015)

It's certainly a blow to Juve as Pereyra has shown how useful he can be in games where there is the space to counter-attack. Harder for Juve to break when they are missing his pace. Nothing insurmountable, though.

    Manifest Destiny.

[CL] Juventus 2-1 Real Madrid (May 5th, 2015)

Interesting. That would mean Allegri is really set on playing 4-3-1-2 in this game. Ordinarily, Pereyra being out would result in Barzagli coming in and it being 3-5-2.

    UK Politics

Astonished to see that the forum isn't abuzz with chatter about the election... I'm outraged to see that those frightful Scots might end up exerting undue influence in London.

    Football Manager 2015

Is being addicted to Football Manager a medical condition? Sometimes, I worry about the effect that Football Manager has had on my life. I’ve had girlfriends I haven’t loved as much as my Uefa Cup-winning Southend United side (CM97-98). So I went to see a doctor...

[CL] Juventus 2-1 Real Madrid (May 5th, 2015)

I was thinking more about him expoiting Pirlo's weaknesses, rather than limiting his strengths.

What Are You Doing Right Now?

I don't think I'd strengthen my financial position by just paying myself. Really need to find someone else to give me money.

Alright for the most part. Not relishing having to start seeking employment.

[CL] Juventus 2-1 Real Madrid (May 5th, 2015)

Not really. I've barely seen Real Madrid this season, so don't have much of a basis to form a real opinion.

[CL] Juventus 2-1 Real Madrid (May 5th, 2015)

Expecting a similar approach from Juve to the home game against BVB. Focus on denying opposition space, even if that means going very deep and not having much of the ball, and being very careful when in possession so as to limit counter-attacking chances. - - - Updated - - - Interested to see...

What Are You Doing Right Now?

Watched most of it. Wasn't exactly the most thrilling Masters, but what Spieth did was undoubtedly hugely impressive. After the third round Spieth was second in greens hit and first in putting stats. You can't beat that. You played much this season? I've made a fast start to the...

    Antonio Conte

Jock Stein (who knew, apparently) died at the end of the final qualification match. Ferguson was only in charge for the play-off and the World Cup itself. Won two trophies with Aberdeen during that time. Aberdeen also got to the quarter-finals of the European Cup that season. I'm not aware...
