It's certainly a blow to Juve as Pereyra has shown how useful he can be in games where there is the space to counter-attack.

Harder for Juve to break when they are missing his pace.

Nothing insurmountable, though.

Because of Pereyra - Sturaro? That's like saying your whole life is in shambles because you're out of cereal.
Yeah. You don't think we lose A LOT by having Vidal behind the strikers and Sturaro in midfield? I think it's a massive blow. Pereyra would've been crucial with his pace and dribbling between the lines and Vidal is a million times better in centre midfield than at CAM.

I barely ever eat cereal.

:agree:

Exactly. If Vidal plays in his position,we gonna suck on counters which has been one of our biggest weapons in the cl knockouts thus far.

I don't care that it might make the game more difficult for us. I care if we win.

No fear, guys.

What we lose in pace, we add in physicality in the midfield, a place where we already held an advantage over Real without Modric.

The trade-off with Sturaro playing instead of Pereyra is that Juve may be able to put more pressure on Real Madrid's deep midfielders and win the ball in dangerous situations.

Vidal is obviously more likely to manage to do that when trequartista than Pereyra.

Pererya´s missing will limit us offensively to be honest. No pussying out here...but Vidal as AM sucks major balls and we know it.

On the bright side..maybe he will have his right boots today and deliver , who knows. We can also block madrid mifield with 3 defensive midfielders instead of 2. Good ol destroyer Juve.

Lets hope it works. But most importantly. lets hope Sturaro doesnt chicken out

Pereyra will be on the bench so he can always come on later in the game. Evra and Licht are going to be so important to provide the width though.
