If Melo had self-control he would have been great player. He has the technique, but unfortunately he lacks the brain, and always puts himself in bad situations. He is simply a liability, and always a disaster waiting to happen on the pitch.
It's unfair that Vidal wasn't chosen for Serie A top 11, he was better than both Marchisio and Nocerino, and one can argue even Pirlo. To me, I think Vidal is the engine that get our team going.
He is tactically good, but nothing special technically. A squad player with an average first touch, and poor finishing. Add to it overrated when it comes to technique around Tuz.
Wouldn't it be great if the Anelka deal doesn't go through for some extraordinary circumstances, like getting locked in a bathroom or something. Where is Tiago when we need him the most!
Apparently both parties agreed on a number, but Marotta decided later to see if he can get him for a lower offer. It looks like Marotta is annoying to deal with and slowly building that reputation around Europe that would result in less teams want to do any business with us.
I wish, maybe he will stop looking at players like Anelka, Bendtner, Boriello and etc. It's frustrating to hear their names, let alone seeing them play for us
Still some chance, hopefully they will remember to show up for this game.
P.S. My all time favourite Moroccan team was from the 90's, with Hadji, Bassir, Naybet and etc. WC 1998 nostalgia :touched:
I would have loved to be sitting on the same table with Marotta and co while they discussed the idea of getting Anelka. That first glorious reaction on everybody's face when Anelka's name was thrown around. Oh well, that table have seen worth I guess.
I don't appreciate all that recent panic-buy mood he has gone into. Get your game together Giuseppe. Anelka is not needed, and would have rather if he has given the opportunity to Gabbiadini or any other youngster with potential to prove himself. I don't like how Italian teams usually don't...
