Particularly for offensive types, the thought being that teams learn how to play against new talent the second season around ... making it a lot harder for them to repeat their first season successes.

I just hope Zlatan shows patience the way Capello can teach it. He still needs an attitude adjustment from time to time.

we should sack capello because he doesnt play del piero though

Fabio Capello was happy with Juventus' 3-0 win over Rapid Vienna in the UEFA Champions League, although he had words of warning for Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Ibrahimovic was desperate to end his goal drought, and did so by bagging the third goal of the match, but Capello admitted that it was a tough match, which could have been made easier but for Ibrahimovic's greedy play.

"We were good in defence, but today Abbiati made two really important stops," said Capello.

"We could have finished the match in the first half, when we had good chances, but we played with a low rhythm.

"It's a pity having suffered a little until the end, because we have had good opportunities.

"Before his goal Zlatan failed twice: tomorrow we will talk about it calmly. You have not got to be selfish.

"I didn't like that on a counter attack we had three players free and Zlatan kept the ball to try to score the goal himself.

zlatan may be too selfish for the first team
but he is also too good to be benched.
Well said, football is a team sport and not that Zlatan offers so much that we could tolerate everything, but lets say currently the balance is on his side

Yesterday, Ibra accepted Capello's criticism: "Capello explained to me I had to be less egotistical. I accept that. I was happy with my goal, but the important thing is that the team won."

Normally Zlatan is a bit selfish but yesterday it was really really showing just how selfish he could get, letting his team be struggle longer then they need to.

But I think its just for one game since he's got his goal. I'd expect Zlatan to return to his normal game against Inter.

Bravo to Capello for criticising him, it was right. And good to hear Zlatan's positive reaction.

    Based on what?

He congratulates his team mates when they goal, doesn't talk mess in the media, is usually not selfish.

    California. You?

Look, he's young. Young men make mistakes. Young men post on two accounts, for example.

The older and wiser forgive and forget and base their judgement on today's behavior.

The Rapid game was a mistake, sure. But he accepted the responsibility and apologized.

That's good enough for me. :)

In Belgium, which is near Holland. Had you followed Ajax a bit, I'm sure you would realise Zlatan isn't very classy. A good player no doubt, but no class whatsoever I'm afraid.

And I didn't post on two accounts.
