Del Piero's a way better support striker than Zlatan is. Surely Zlatan should push Trezeguet out of the team.

This is great news, but no cups are ever guaranteed.
We now have proven, if in poor form, quality like Trez and DP up front. We've got great younger players Miccoli and Zlatan. We have good prospects on the wings, Olivera and Kapo, along with our legend Nedved. Emerson is there to boss the midfield.
Cannavaro and Thuram will hopefully be like rocks in defence.
Not to mention Capello.

All in all, I give Moggi 8/10 so far.

So it is looking good. This season could be very great

However, looking forward, how much time do our CBs have left? Canna is 31 yes? Thuram is older than that? I'd say that gives us 2 seasons of quality, after that who knows- you can't predict drops in form like Montero had this season. I'm sure younger defensive options will present themselves over the next 2 years though, and hopefully Moggi will go for them this time.

Why wouldn't it? Capello won't babysit him like Lippi used to do. You think we've payed €19m for a benchplayer? Del Piero will be one among many this season, same conditions as the rest. I don't think he'll be good enough to keep his place.

IMO Del Piero is washed up and way to inconsistent. I'd take Zlatan over him any day, on any position. DP is the past, Zlatan is a part of the future.

13 in 16 games last season ain't that bad but you're right he's not a goal scorer, yet. Might be though, we'll see

Neither Zlatan nor Miccoli scores regularly, Trez is needed.

We're obviously just speculating here but I actually think DP will play on, Z will break through possibly at the expense of Trez.
