I haven't seen this charity match, but if I recall correctly, he played twice in Turin with Real Madrid against us in 2003 and 2005. Our fans showed great respect towards him.

Zidane isn't sorry for headbutt

French legend Zinedine Zidane says he would rather die than apologise to Marco Materazzi for headbutting him in the 2006 World Cup Final.

Zidane was sent off as France lost to Italy on penalties in the last match of his otherwise glorious career.

Speaking to El Pais, Zidane said: “Nothing changes, but I forgive everyone, not him though. Never, never… It would be a dishonour to myself. I would rather die.

I don't blame myself for what happened, but if I say sorry it would be admitting that what Materazzi did was normal.

He insulted me and he insulted my mother, who was ill, more than once and I didn't respond. But then, I did it.

If he were a decent guy, a good lad like Kaka for instance then I would have apologised, but not this,” he concluded.

I hope so too. He shouldn't have to apologize to that monkey. What should happen is that the monkey should be locked away in a cage for the rest of his life.

Forza Zizou, Forza his Headbutt, anti-forza the typical Azzurri trash going after the legend.

sorry, but this talk of zizou just shows that he might have been a great footballer, but surely not the smartest most intelligent guy on the planet ... way off that actually ... this whole talk of "i would rather die" .. what a load of bullshit...

forza furbizia ....

i really do not think that materazzi is smart, but he just showed there that he is at least smarter then zidane using zizous weak mind/brain against him

i did not defend him, i simply stated a fact. not surprised that someone with a reputation of seriously lacking manners does respond in that way and does not get the information embedded in the post
