It surprises me how few people mention his name when discussing heading.
It's true, he's very under-rated, but I saw him do some pretty ridiculous things with his head when he was at Sporting.

I remember there was one goal he scored at Bayern, there were about 3 people around him, all of them taller if not at least as tall and he beat them, scored that header, incredible skill.

There's also a guy called Argelico Fuchs, which lead to the fantastic headline "Argelico Fuchs Off to Sociedad"

True, but Jardel is the best.
I'm hoping you got your grammar right, and that you are indeed talking about the present tense...because Bierhoff was the king.

Oh yeah, that was bloody awesome. Raul scored a similar 'header' a couple of seasons back, and the idiot celebrated the goal... i lost a lot of respect for the guy that match

 he's not even starting THERE...
He was out of contract for the pre-season, and therefore not match-fit until fairly recently. Even so, Sam Allardice is probably reluctant to change a team which is doing well. That or he doesn't like how Jardel's work-ethic is so sharply in contrast with his teammates'.

Im pretty sure it's not the work-ethic part. Big Sam said that is was rather shocked and encouraged by Jardel's training etc..from an interview
