You will create another very good generation sooner or later. You're getting a steady influx of Africans. You've had a 10% population growth in the last 10 years.
It's more difficult for countries like Croatia. We've had 4,3 million people in 2010, and 3,9 millions now. That's -10%.
I fear we are witnessing the last good Croatian generation. Once Modric retires, Perisic follows him, and soon after them Brozovic too, the national team will not recover. Ever.
At least I lived to see my country in a WC final. I never thought that was possible.
Sooner or later Belgium won't exist because the Sun is going to explode.

We will be bringing more and more Indians in the forthcoming years so there is some hope. India has a largest gene pool.

Seriously this is just insanity. Doesn't go with the spirit of the game at all. I mean what was the fucking advantage that the Croatian player had because of that "offside"? This rule was made to prevent attackers from just waiting for the ball next to their opposition goal. Not for situations like this.
Fuck VAR

I'm very confident too. This generation is to us what Figo and Rui Costa were to Portugal.

What saddens me is how people around me can't accept that you can lose in the World Cup too. These players have meant a great deal to Belgian football, they have done incredibly well. I absolutely loved Hazard. Sometimes you just have to be thankful for what they did do, congratulate the opponent and move on.

About the game, I liked croatia, but they seem to lack in the final third. Looked like they get there easily, but then they kinda fuck up. And in the end you almost lost to a shitty belgium because of it.

We lack killer forward. The team is very technical and gets out of difficult situations easily. Our passing is so smooth at times that I envy it a bit as a Juve fan. Once Belgium introduced Lukaku I knew we were in trouble though. I think we are out against Spain, almost as bad as France for us. But I hoped for Germans since we usually do well against them. :)

There's a lot of things to like about Croatia, but to me they are not as strong as they were in 2018.

You're right about the passing though.

We are definitely weaker. Players like Mandzukic were huge for us. We need someone like him to hussle with defenders and open up a space a bit. Perisic was also more productive than he is these days, Modric was younger. Still amazing player though. I see improvement in defense with Gvardiol and Sosa. For me '98 generation was more talented eventhough we didnt reach the final because Thuram decided to score his only 2 national team goals against us that evening.

This is wishful thinking perhaps, but Spain might want to end up 2nd in their group. If they win the group, they get Croatia next, and Brazil in the quarters. If they end 2nd, they get Morocco next, and Portugal in the quarters, which looks like an easier route.
It's very hard to end up 2nd on purpose tho, without risking elimination, so I'm pretty sure that Spain will go for the win tonight.
For Spain to risk qualification Costa Rica must win, no? Seems improbable.
