Meh. I wouldn't say that. As I said, they did enough to win each and every game, but aside from brief spells never really looked like a dominant force. It's impressive in its own way, to always have that extra gear in the bag for the moments needed.

But as far as most dominant ever, come on. Brazil in '02 went through the world cup with 7 wins - 0 losses and outscored their opponents 18-4. That's dominant.

France in '98 too, went 7 wins - 0 losses. Outscored their opponents 15-2.
France won on penalties against Italy and won it in 114th minute against Paraguay in '98. Like I said, one of the most dominant WC wins, not THE most dominant.
The French showed they can equally defend and attack very well when needed.

We're just going to have to agree to disagree. Consistency and dominance are two separate things, and this France had the former and not the latter.
