Still, as good as he was, he was better at Napoli.
He's at his mental and physical peak right now. Maybe he lost some technique and sharpness in certain situations while playing wide, but he's hungrier than ever. Less than 2 years ago he missed a sitter of all sitters to qualify for KO of Copa America and was booed and insulted next home game for Uruguay, absolute low. Today he's their hero.

There was a game for PSG at the end of this season. Everything was done, they were crowned champions, completely meaningless home game against Angers or something like that. They were down 2-0, nobody gave a fuck but him. Scored two goals in last 10 minutes to tie the game, was sprinting back in extra time and making sliding tackles to save the goal just for the fun of it. Work ethic, team work and GRINTA is through the roof. Most Juve stile player to never (probably) play for us. With him and Godin we'd win CL next year, I'd bet my life on it.

Uruguay showed grinta with a touch of class. If it wasn't obvious already it showed that team > individuals. On a GOAT level it's sad to see Ronaldo and Messi miss out on the greatest mantle. They deserve respect and didn't just become shit overnight. Mbappe, however is exciting as fuck, such blistering pace and aggressiveness :tuttosport:

Only Bentancur and Cuadrado are having a good WC out of our players. Juve players at the WC are friggin dissapointing so far.

Woj - didn't do anythign remarkable, knocked out in the group fase
Benatia - mediocre performance, knocked out in the group stage, responsible for 1 direct goal and benched for the last game
Khedira - mediocre performance, knocked out in the group stage out and benched for Rudy in the only game Germany won
Matuidi - typical, being played for defensive purposes
Mandzukic - 0 goals, nuff said
Dybala - 0 goals, only saw the bench
Higuain - 0 goals, benched for Aguero
Douglas Costa, 1 assist and injured for the remaining games

No leaders, no great performers and not good for our brand and international allure

You are wrong about Mandzukic. He has been having an amazing WC so far. Vital to the Croatian NT. His 0 goals are so deceiving. The commentators here cant stop praising him for his performance in every game. Maybe he has scored 0 goals but out of the 7 goals from Croatia, he was directly responsible for 3 of them. Not to mention the running and ground covering he has done.

I consider this stage an indicator for how good our players are. The 2006 final with the Juve players in it showed where we stood on an international stage.

Look at goats like Modric, M'bappe and Cavani leading their NT's and our players are flopping at the same time.

Yeah but you can't relate 'ground covering' and 'running' to quality. A strikers job is to score (or assist). He's missed sitters rather than scoring.

I have to say, i am 29 yo, have been actively watching football for 14 years, but i have never seen a more complete striker than M'bappe at his age. He is magical to watch. Unbelievable player.

Our players haven't even been bad either. Maybe Woj had a bad World Cup but his national team, Poland, is fucking garbage and he has always delivered for Juve so..
