Because they're German. They often do well, and find a way to win, even when they do not have the best squad.

If you took their current and ponderous midfield and put them in any other NT they'd potentially go out in the Group stage. But they won't. They will find something.

I rate Kroos actually but he is an arrogant piece of shit, highly decorated one unfortunately, so I kinda understand why he doesnt care anymore and blame lack of motivation on boring Jogi.

Özil however has never been a great player in his entire life so he cant afford being as arrogant and lazy as he is

This is why I didn't want Mexico to win. Already on the Fox post game show for Brazil - Swiss they are playing some gay montage with emotional music celebrating the Mexico win and how much la pasion their fans have.

You know me: I hate the lies we convince ourselves with any form of VAR. Yeah I get if there is improved technology, why not apply it. But we think the truth exists in slow motion from 17 angles. Those are just the lies we tell ourselves to satisfy pudgy TV watchers nowhere near the pitch.

I’m a big proponent of VAR. it works on every other sport and helps to make for a more fair game. And as for the pudgy TV watchers, I don’t get it. They’re the audience and in the end the reason these players have a job.
