Allegri got the best out of Pogba. He needs everything going for him like he had with us.
You're saying it's not Pogba's fault he has been average in the past 2 years, however making it soud as if it's SMS fault for playing at Lazio.
Pogba is a high demand player, in terms of needing the perfect role and tactical set up, but he is a top class player. He is responsible for his performances, especially since his focus is poor and lacks in decision making, but equally as important is your coach tactics or lack of it. You should know what you have and how to use it. And Mourinho has no clue how to play Pogba, the freedom and set up to give him to maximize his ability.
He is bailed out by his freakish ability in terms of what he has done for Man U despite that set up. Pogba has it in him to be anonymous or lacking in games but somehow decide things for you when it's needed, since he do that quite a bit for Man U too, and he did that alot for us.
And imo SMS would suffer even more in Man U playing as holding mid, because he doesn't have the game changing skill Pogba has in final third while needing the same exact free roaming role Pogba requires (they are essentially same player in approach a bit).
And yeah SMS is fantastic, but he is unproven in top top level unproven because he is in Lazio, so why are we talking like he is so better then player who has been expected to amongst the best in top football? Pogba absolutely dominated Serie A for us in a way SMS hasnt done yet.
