The one thing I do not get is why Brazil who just won the wc last year are already playing qualifiers this year for a tournament that is starting in 2006
Does this mean that the qualifiers would go on till 2005? Or if it ends in 2004 , how is it fair to them or any south American country that they would not play a competitive match for about 2 years before the wc starts

Btw they should have just called it a home nations series as far as England is concerned and Italy almost always seem to get a very easy group but they always find a way to make it more interesting by screwing up initially

Brazil, Argentina and co were playing world cup qualifiers at the same time that Europe was playing euro2004 qualifiers , tournaments that are 2 years apart

I have never understood Fifa anyways
