Maignan for 15m + 3m wages was such a good deal for Milan, we're stuck with Woj until 2024 on 6.5m wages and in our case the tax cut doesn't even apply lol
:fab3:

these deals should absolutely stop, these make our wage bill unsustainable. we need to be patient and wait until these contracts run out or our guy gets an offer from epl or mls

We signed Woj after Roma (after one good and one great season there) for a very similar transfer fee (I think it was around 13m), slightly higher wage (3.5m iirc). He only renewed with bumped up wages last year after having a successful couple of years here. His current pay is similar to other keepers of his calibre, the Hugo Lloris' of the world. The man is no Buffon, but other than the last six months his stay here has been successful.

Juve, from Szczesny to Ramsey: what a bonus for the agents! How much (in addition) it costs to keep some bianconeri It is not just a question of salaries. Many Juventus players carry with them a large amount of accessory charges agreed upon at the time of signing the contract. Commissions that are recognized to the attorneys of the various members, not only at the same time as transactions and closing of negotiations. In this sense, the bonuses awarded to the entourages of some Juventus players for their stay in the clubs are particularly burdensome, often repeated from season to season. The most striking example at Juventus is in this sense that of Aaron Ramsey. Should the Welshman - one of the most talked about players on the transfer market - remain at Juventus also in the next season (2021/21), his entourage should be awarded an additional 2.8 million euros. This is due to the agreement signed to take it to zero two seasons ago. Agreement for which Juve has already been required to pay another 3 last season. Extra costs to add to the already high salary of the Welshman who in Turin receives 7 million net. But the discussion should be extended to many other players in Andrea Pirlo's squad. 2.3 million euros should be paid to Wojciech Szczesny's entourage if the goalkeeper is confirmed again next season. At Continassa, reflections are already underway on the goalkeeper of the future, as well as on the fate of Alex Sandro. A € 1.6 million fee is expected for the Brazilian's agents in the event that the former Porto is preparing for his seventh season with Juventus. Just over a million would go to Jorge Mendes if in the end Cristiano Ronaldo really decided to honor the last year of the contract that binds him to Juventus. 750 thousand euros is instead the bonus provided for Paulo Dybala's prosecutors in view of the last season at Juve before Joya's contract expires. Ancillary charges were said, perhaps in this period of pandemic and not so ancillary economic stress. The company will also reflect on this for assessments on the future of their players.

Disagreed on his current pay being similar to keepers of his caliber. If you look at Serie A next season, the top keepers in the league Handanovic will be on 3.2m, Maignan on 3m, Sirigu on 2m. Woj isn't significantly better than any of them, the 2nd part of last season he was actually worse, yet he gets paid more than Handa and Maignan combined.

The poor performances Szczesny had in the past 3 seasons could literally be counted on one hand and most of them were inside a couple of months playing in a disjointed team under an inexperienced coach.

Just go back in time in this thread and refresh your memory. Ungrateful bastards.

Aren't you the one blaming Dollarumma for mistakes he made as a teen though?
