When does his contract run out? His value market is nearly zero as 34yrs goalie.

Pedulla reporting:

"During the day there was the call that we had announced to you to talk about Szczesny in Al Nassr orbit. The Arab club (remember that the market in those parts opens tomorrow) did not appreciate the doubts of the Polish goalkeeper very much despite a mega salary offer of around 20 million per season. Juve explained that it was a normal phase of reflection, now the situation has entered a stand-by phase which may lead Al Nassr to choose another keeper. It is no coincidence that the Arab club, after the failure of the negotiation for Ederson from Manchester City, is turning towards Bento - as told by Gianluigi Longari - an old target of Inter. Now Monza can hope, we have always explained that Juve's priority remains that of unloading the 13 million gross for the last year of the contract. And Juve will want to wait a little longer to understand if there may be other suitors for the Polish goalkeeper, even more so if after today's call the Arab hypothesis definitively fades away."

He is still a great keeper in the old fashioned sense. I’m surprised more clubs are not after him.
I think the problem is his salary
he was really shaky before coming to Italy. Even he has said it, he improved massively here and at Roma.
His salary is most definitely the biggest issue, then also despite being solid for most parts he also showed signs of decline with a few costly errors in each of the last few seasons, details like this count a lot when the wages are what they are.

Our best chance to ship him off are still the saudis, otherwise we need to hope he takes a major pay cut to stay somewhere in Europe.

The team that wanted him have signed another keeper already so the Saudi options seems closed.

For now the only team after him is Monza but that option means Juventus will have to pay part of the salary for the remaining year of his contract.

If correct Juve wanted 5M transfer fee from SA? That's gone so now if Monza takes him how much will we still have to pay of the 6.5 euros Tek earns?

I don't get it ..... though probably counting every penny they have but why not just get his salary off the books and be done with it? That 5M will kill them? And Tek with all his talk about doing right for Juve, doesn't agree with the the big money contract from SA? You telling me he/agent couldn't have done something to finalize the deal?

Tek right now for me is all talk .... hear he's extending his holiday too lol. Monza needs a GK bad, so hopefully we come out not paying almost all of his contract.

So wonder if any truth to reading Tek doesn't want to leave Turin? Hope nothing to it but once you get a taste of Club Juve, it's hard to leave even for lots of cash. I wonder if Motta will allow him to puff away on the sidelines?

#Galliani is putting pressure on #Szczesny and wants to rush for a deal. Already this week there could be some updates, considering the dialogue channel being always open and the great relationship between #Monza and #Juventus.

He has already said he’ll leave if the club wants him to leave. I can see us sell him for the residual book value and then pay part of his salary for a year.

It’s accounting shenanigans. The salary is an expense. If we don’t get a transfer fee, that’ll show up as loss on the books. Considering we are on thin ice with FFP, every little helps.

I know he has but so far Tek has been all talk, still plenty of time to go and probably has to happen him leaving. And thanks for management's strategy on what's best financially for the club.
