Again Andy, you always seem to take one side considering you're the 'neutral and unbiased fan' that you're supposed to be ;)

Trezeguet is a great goal-poacher, no one can deny him that. But he also goes through matches sometimes with 1 or 2 touches on the ball. It gets frustrating when the midfield is already weak and lacks in creation, because it feels like we're playing with 10 men on the field.

I haven't been a member here for that long, but I've been reading posts for a while, and I can say that I can't seem to remember people using that double standard with Trezeguet and Del Piero as often as you're implying.

No, we do hear that around here. Too many people who do not respect the services of Trezeguet slag him off and take away from his talent of finishing off chances, yet many of these same people are DP fans who say his tap in goals are wondeful pieces of intervention. I have seen this double standard in action frequently around here, especially in debates. Now we have a season where Del Piero took over for Trezeguet in roaming around the goal mouth, and Ale gets oh so much praise for it. The same posters who state Trezeguet is "worthless" now defend Del Piero's limited performances in which he scored several tap-in goals. I'm sorry but the double standard is obvious.
Well, at least I'm not doing that.

I have always praised Trezeguet's goal poaching abilities the way I praise DP for his tap-in goals now.

Well I am biased, especially against those who seem to care about Del Piero more than Juventus. So if there was ever a war between these two groups here, I would actually be on Don Bes' side and all the supposed "haters," even though I'm not. I'm sorry but that's just the way I am.

And perhaps the double standard for Trez and DP isn't that common, however I know for a fact it exists and I don't like it.

Well then, why are you always on his case? As long as he's being praised, even if according to you more than he deserves, in a thread that is named after him, then so be it. Let it slide.

When others infringe on another player that you think is better than Del Piero, then counter that with arguments...not just jokes, and belittling statements about Del Piero denying him what he fully deserves.

I, for one, enjoy seeing him play. I do so more than I enjoy watching anyone else in the world. That's me. Watching Juventus play is an enjoyment, but a Juve with Del Piero is 5 times as good to me. So yes, whenever he does something fancy or dribbles past someone, I like to see it over and over again. That's just me and my taste in football (me and many many others), am I doing anything wrong?

Enough with these rubbish posts Zizou, Each time you can't handle a Dp debate you start sayin he plays 1 good match in 10games, Shall I name you the good games he played this year and we'll see wether he played like you just said...CUT IT OFF....Jeez!!

Average ratings??? I though you don't care about ratings and statics, Fine lets talk about Statics, He's the Italian Serie A MVP....

It's cool with me If you wanna talk about Ratings and Statics...lets go on..
I don't mind statistics as long as they produce a crystal clear picture. Average ratings do that.

Please do mention all the good games.

Italian Serie A MVP? Says who?!?!?!

Don't you think that's because he scored some awesome goals?

See, now Del Piero is Serie A's MVP. This discussion will never ever end if people continue to make Del Piero out to be something he's not.

I think what irritates most Juve fans (that is not the DP fans) is the fact that DP fans praise and say so many good things about him and then Inter and Milan fans don't idolize Adriano or Shevchenko as much. I mean those two players are objectively on another level when compared to DP, yet DP gets more hyped up and praised than those two. It makes Juve fans look really silly when compared to other set of fans.

Yea Azzurri where did you get that one i never read anything about him being the mvp. And regarding bessy you wanna know why the whole world goes crazy when he does those touches? Its because few players in the world can do touches like him. I mean cmon who else in your right mind can do that backheel the way del piero does it? I can only think of 1 or 2. Not even totti can do a backheel like del piero. And Bessy you have said you dont hate him yet you want him out of Juve so badly. And you yourself in other threads have stated that he gets too much praise. But when Ibra does something you praise him like crazy

Andy i would really like to see you do it at a pro level against the likes of the best defences in the world. Sure hell i do backheels in matches and 8 out of 10 times ill score them, but i highly doubt if i make it pro ill be able to do it against the big boys.
