Please! Let the inter fans win this one! I really don't want Guarin here. While I admit he might have his moments, he still has the football intelligence of a wet cardboard box. And he can be such a frustrating player to watch. A player who tends to dribble at the wrong time and shoot once to often. I really don't se the logic of this transfer happening when we are in January and have no trouble collecting points in the league. It's not like we are in CL and need the depth this season.

Wasn't Guarin in the middle of negotiations when the news broke that Inter were pulling out?

No matter how this incident ends, Inter will be in some mega trouble. There will be unrest, clubs will hesitate to deal with them and I think at least 1 person will lose his job.

Inter fans will be pissed either way too

So much damaged caused by the destroyer of souls, the dealer of pain. The great one. :beppe:

Guarin is one of those players that if the deal didn't go through I wouldn't be terribly upset, but if we got him I'd be happy too.

Inter though

That makes 5

Atm we have 4. Unless we sacrifice our left flank massively and use Asamoah there.
in order to transition from top team in serie a to one of the top team in Europe we must need a 4 man backline. this means that we would have to get a very good leftback. this is what we need most. then we need wingers. now if you look at Barcelona they have

xavi/roberto-----busquets/song------iniesta/fabregas

xavi iniesta and busqets are top internationals

then we have 2 top internationals as backups

and then we have a youth product as our 6th CM.

juventus have

vidal/march-----pirlo/marone------pogba/asamoah

vidal pirlo pogba are top internationals

then 2 top internationals asamoah and marchisio

and then marrone as a youth product backup.

now you might argue that that we don't have our 6th choice CM for now as marrone is currently at sassuolo but to be honest we don't need our 6th choice CM because as you can see from last year marrone (our 6th choice CM) played only 760 minutes. however if are really stingy and wanted a 6th choice CM, we could play isla, padoinand even bonucci so we defenatly don't need guarin.

Guarin is younger than Vucinic he could be of use in midfield next season if we decide to sell one of our midfielders and could probably be sold for more cash given his age - In that term is is a good deal
I do however rate Vucinic as a forward much more than I rate Guarin as a midfielder so I`m not that enthusiastic about seeing him play wearing our shirt

Inter fans inundated the club's official twitter account with angry messages in regard to selling Fredy Guarin to a rival club. Vučinić had already said his goodbye's to his Bianconeri colleages, before skipping their training session to travel to the fashion capital.

The potential swap deal was gathering serious momentum throughout the day. However fan power has pursuaded the Inter directors to withdraw interest, amid the possibility of further protests from supporters. Columbian Guarin has threatened not to train with Inter if the deal collapses.

The question is.. does having Guarin mean that we lose one of Pogba, Vidal and Marchisio?
I don't think so. I was saying it last summer, to some dismay, and Pirlo's Beard said it few pages back that having 5 good mids is necessity for a team aiming to compete for trophies, especially when it is well known that our requirements are 3 starting CM's.
