We definitely stick to 352 till the end of the season there's no doubt about it. We could play 433 for a few minutes here and there now that Pepe is back but I don't expect too much. All will start after the season.

Quality wise the easiest formation we can switch to is 4312 by buying a proper AM that would cost a lot but that's a single player we'd need to buy. The guy who posted a 4312 with Hamsik as AM deserves +rep as it's the best formation that was posted in those last few pages here. I'm not a fan of 4312 but it's probably the best we can possibly do here.

To switch to 433 we'd need to sell quite a lot bench/rotation players who wouldn't find their place in the team anymore. Padoin, Isla, DC and one of Giovinco - Vucinic should be gone (I'd sell Giovinco but Vucinic will attract more interest that's for sure).

Either way we don't need any more CMs. We need a creative AM/RM the most not to mention LB as well.

Tbh irregardless of which formation we want, 1 or 2 strikers need to go. PDC MUST go, Bonucci should go because not only is he a liability at times, he can actually fetch us some money

Vucinic is too injury prone. I am a fan, but he's rarely available these days. He could fetch 10M fairly easily tbh.

Unfortunately for him no 'Defensive Wingers' in that setup.

We have excellent defensive fullbacks for this formation. Furthermore, Marchisio especially, but also vidal or pogba can drift out to the wing to aid the fullback if the enemy is using double wings. much like we used marchisio and tevez against madrid

In offence, pogba and vidal can freely attack whilst marchisio shuttles the midfield.

Basically, you'd get vidal, pogba and tevez in the space behind llorente.

Its rocksolid defensively,and with 3 running players, the regista can have a fieldday on counters

according to that logic our current line up consists of 9 attacking minded players, i dont know what a holder is, if you are speaking about holding midfielders not only do we have the best one in the world, but he and asa can take turns filling that role

Holder : selfless midfielder that does defensive tasks while keeping mostly shape and organisation intact. Cant do aggressive pressing cause that gives away position. Ideal is a combination of both. Someone presses, the holder gives cover.

In our team, pogba, vidal are mostly aggressive pressing players, where marchisio is mostly a holder and pretty good shuttle midfielder.

I was allways a bit cross at the small issues i never told cause peasants would have actually had a good argument then, that the 4312 had. But this formation basically erases every single one of them

Not much to say at the moment really. He's talented youngster, plays as AM, small stature, good technique, fast, but he needs couple of more years playing here before going abroad. He's not even impressing here yet, mostly hype, but he's 17 years old so his time will probably come.

De ceglie.... we wont get a dime for him. But is it worth keeping him as 3th backup compared to his wage?

I know his wage is very low, but his talent is even lower

I don't get why people would like to get two wingers such as Menez and Nani i.e. (we don't have the money to get anything better). Those two, IMO, wouldn't really make a big impact in our team, at least not big enough to change our system. Maybe we would get weaker.

The only way out of the 3-5-2 is get a very good AM and maybe get a LB or play Asamoah there. Also we could get Menez just for the sake of it (and depth/Tactical Variety)
If we want to get the 4-3-3 going maybe we should help Hellas and make a deal with them for Iturbe, if I'm not mistaken they have an option to buy him for 8M. Let them keep and play Iturbe for a year or two, and then bring him and Berardi, so we will have two very good wingers who have a lot of room to improve and for our coach to mold them

Ain't that low a wage - he's supposedly on 1.3m per year.

Peluso's and Padoin's wages combined come to 1.5m per year.

Doesnt really lack width if you consider that all 3 cm's+ SS could drift out to the wings.

Marchisio and pogba allready showed they can put in quite a lethal early cross, and considering licht or asamoah, we got players able of making the overlap.

The only thing i dislike is that tevez isnt the fastest. Imagine aguero in his place, omfg

Prefer Suarez to Aguero.

To my mind he would be the perfect player to play with Llorente.

Well, inter won the champions league with that formation using Sneijder, Milito and Eto but in order to use this system we need 2 world class strikers and 1 world class number 10 and llorente and tevez are not world class.

May have been the odd game where they changed shape, but they were pretty consistently using 4-2-3-1, certainly in the second half of that season.

They mostly played 4-3-1-2 in the first half of the season, as I recall.
