When I look to this 41311RED© formation, I am not sure if this is really better than ours 3-5-2. Conte will use 3-5-2 till the end of season. Believe me, we wont buy players in january transfer mercato, except in the case of signin Nainggolan, but other than him I don't think so.
Thats the good thing. Our 3-5-2 is allready a great formation. The 41311RED© allows us to switch to a back4 with much room for the cm's to operate in.
Its basically THE answer against any serious wing based formation, if we have trouble with the space in the back of the wingbacks.

a 4231 is a 442 with no two strikers
a 4321 is a 442 without wide players
a 4312 is a 442 without wide players
...
:D

The 41311RED© formation combines a regista with 2 box to box midfielders and a shutteling midfielder, togheter with a deeplying striker and a central forward.

A more aggressive version of the 2007 milan xmas tree

    There's a tactics/formation thread.

    anyway

Juve gave FC Midtjylland attacking mid Pione Sisto a trial and could sign him up at a later date.

but we want to play 4-3-3 and that why we are linked with wingers.
I completely understand. We played 4-3-3 against Madrid in the CL and played 4-3-3 up until we played Napoli in October 2011. I know this.

But...if we were really serious about buying wingers, we would of already done it by now.

Conte suggesting we don't play 4-3-3 because of a Pepe injury is a classic case of trolling.

Pepe isn't a winger, he isn't an inside forward, he misplaces nearly all his crosses and is very greedy in front of goal.

I don't know why exactly we didn't play 4-3-3 (maybe because our team is built for 3-5-2) but Pepe or lack of wingers is not it.

If you got world class box to box midfielders, you dont need to limit them unless the wingers make a serious diffrence.
when you have box to box midfielder the 4-3-3 turns into 4-1-4-1 (when pressing and attacking) and the wingers make sure that we stretch the defense and get some width in our attacking play. in a 4-3-3 the midfield counts the most so even if we get good enough wingers it won't matter as much. if we switch to a 4-2-3-1 then the attacking wingers will count most.

Alen Halilovic - Any info about him ? @Alen @DelPiero84
    @Albo
Not much to say at the moment really. He's talented youngster, plays as AM, small stature, good technique, fast, but he needs couple of more years playing here before going abroad. He's not even impressing here yet, mostly hype, but he's 17 years old so his time will probably come.

Unfortunately for him no 'Defensive Wingers' in that setup.
:shocked2: No one to lock down the flanks. :D
